At Society, Summer tries to convince her parents that she’s OK. Claire’s staying away but Harrison keeps asking about her. Summer wishes she could wave a magic and have Claire disappear!
Vikki and Claire are at the tackhouse, talking briefly about Nikki’s recovery and Jordan. We’ll live happy lives while she rots in hell. Cole stops by. Yes, he took care of what he needed to. Mike then sends him a text – ‘stay close – this could happen fast’.
At the main house, Mike hugs Nikki – you look wonderful. Nikki owes her good friend Lauren a long lunch. How about now? Mike suggests the four of them go. Victor looks unenthused.
Nick’s understanding but thinks Claire and Harrison should be able to spend some time together. Phyllis backs Summer. No one should pressure you, not Kyle, not anyone.
In the park, Harrison’s scared when he sees a woman who looks like the witch. She won’t hurt you again, Kyle reassures – she’s gone and never coming back. What about Claire? the boy asks why his Mom doesn’t like her.
Yes, Cole has more business to attend to. No – no pending deadline on his next novel. Claire suspects her father’s not being honest. Assuming Cole needs to go back to Oxford, neither she nor Vikki want him to go.
Mike will meet Victor and Nikki at Society – he’ll stay behind to quickly send some contracts to Germany.
England isn’t on Cole’s radar right now. That call? He’s extending his sabbatical. No, he doesn’t still suspect Victor of having something to do with Jordan’s death. If she’s really gone, Cole doesn’t think it matters. ‘If’ she’s gone? Claire wonders if he thinks she’s still out there. No – she won’t come after anyone ever again, Cole reassures. We’re safe now, Vikki adds.
Back in the park, Harrison chirps that Claire’s his friend. He hopes Mommy knows he loves her more and asks his Dad if they can call Claire. A ride on the ferris-wheel might make her feel better. The carnival is only in town for one more day.
Nick doesn’t think this has anything to do with Claire at all – he thinks Summer’s taking it out on Claire because she can’t take it out on the person who deserves it – Jordan.
Back at the ranch, Mike snoops around; tapping on the wood paneling.
There’s no need to be ‘terrified’ – Vikki thinks Midnight Blue is a good horse for Claire to learn on. No sooner has Cole agreed to join them on a horseback ride when his phone pings loudly.
