Your Mom was married to my grandfather, Claire states. And my Dad was married to your grandfather, Kyle adds. After they discuss the wonders of true love, Kyle concludes that he’s focused on Harrison and Jabot. Claire’s focused on getting a job. He’s sorry she won’t be Harrison’s nanny.

Clinking their champagne flutes, Phyllis toasts herself then whines some more about Daniel being thrown out like garbage. Someone should make them pay, she alarms Summer.

Hoping her Mom won’t burn CW to the ground, Summer leaves her Mom to pull out her laptop. Her password still works – if that’s not a sign I don’t know what is.

Surely Cole’s not suggesting Victor had something to do with Jordan’s death, Nick’s indignant. Cole wonders why Victor’s not having the river dredged for proof that she’s dead. Victor appears to explain that he was punching the bag and, after Nick leaves, he asks Cole ‘what can I do for you’?

Harrison had a nightmare about ‘the witch’ – I’m scared, Mommy. Yes, some ‘family time’ will help. Hugging him, Summer will text Daddy.

Kyle wishes Summer would change her mind regarding Harrison. Claire appreciates his support – but understands Summer’s concern (Vikki sometimes watches Claire when she thinks she’s asleep – just to make sure she’s safe) When Kyle gets a text from Summer, Claire asks that he give Harrison her love.

When Kyle comes home to hug and reassure Harrison, Summer adds that he’s in the safest place in the world. Can Claire come over? So she feels safe too? Harrison asks.

Cole would like to teach Claire to horseback ride. Victor thinks it a wonderful idea. Joining them, Claire loves the idea too. Inviting them both to dinner, Victor’s very interested to learn that she’s never had brussel sprouts because Jordan loathes them.

Based on how vigorously Phyllis closed her laptop, Nick knows she’s up to something. Confiding that she’s no longer working at CW, she might be getting ‘justice’ by spreading a virus or posting bad reviews etc. Nick’s in – what are we waiting for? Let’s do this.

While Harrison eats cookies in the kitchen, Kyle makes a case for hiring Claire as his nanny. Summer’s not having it. Claire respects what a good Mom you are.

Your reverse psychology won’t work with me, Phyllis just wants to create enough havoc to make Lily/Devon regret firing Daniel – ideally, they’ll beg us to come back. Nick manages to charm her out of it. He likes the colour of her dress by the way. Cheers.

Summer wishes Claire the best – but she’s not to be trusted. Why is Kyle so invested in her anyway? He wants what’s best for Harrison – and when the boy comes out to ask if they can call Claire, Kyle can do better than that – how would you like her to be your new nanny? As Harrison shouts ‘Yayyyy’, Summer gives Kyle stinkeye.

Victor? Are you here? Cole’s back to ask him something.

Jordan’s passed out on the floor beside a bottle of vodka when Victor returns to with some ‘wonderful’ food. Brussel sprouts. Mmmm, he pops one into his mouth, the spits it out at her – bon appetite, he leaves.

Next Week: This place isn’t open for hours – we’ll have all the privacy in the world, Ashley tells Tucker. Oh no, is she going to kill him right now!? the kids’ inner voice frets…. Cole thinks Victor’s hiding something – every time I talk to you lately I feel like I’m not getting the whole truth. As Cole watches Victor emerge from a secret door in the hallway (with the domed plate of food) Nikki wheels her suitcase in – Victor, are you home? Victor??
