Having summoned Mike, Claire’s surprised to hear that he’s already working on her release. She only just decided. Victor said it was my decision. Was that a lie???
Coming down from her nap, Nikki heard raised voices – what’s going on? Dad’s being impossible, Vikki complains. And you are being obstinent, Victor points his finger.
On her front porch, Ashley invites Tucker to meet her in the dining room. Grabbing the phone, Audra snarls – I told you to back off!
Ashley’s simply inviting an old friend out for a drink. I’m the only woman Tucker has ever loved, she adds. Audra’s embarassed for Ashley. No one wants to play with you, least of all Tucker!
It IS your decision, Mike was just being proactive by putting things in motion. Though not sure she believes her grandfather’s smooth talking lawyer, Claire’s decided it’s ‘full steam ahead’.
Vikki rants about her father putting Claire in danger; not just physical, but emotional. Please talk sense into Dad, she appeals to her Mom. Nikki disappoints her by saying she’s come to think that Victor’s plan makes sense.
Victor will make sure no harm comes to Claire – end of discussion, he leaves Vikki to tell her Mom that she’ll pull the Newman card. If Claire goes along with this plan, I’ll turn my back on her.
You’ll be under the Newman’s roof, and under their protective custody, Mike adds that Claire will have to attend out-patient therapy. He has brilliance and ego going for him. Be ready – you could be starting your new life as a Newman by breakfast tomorrow.
If Tucker wants nothing to do with her, Ashley wants to hear him say that to her face. After Audra hangs up, Ashley’s inner voice says – that didn’t go as planned. He can’t resist me, he’ll come around, she decides.
Audra tosses Tucker his phone and relays Ashley’s end of the conversation; she wants you to tell her to her face that you’ve moved on. She (Audra) is horrified when Tucker thinks that’s not a bad idea.
