Nick’s surprised his ‘unfavourable’ earnings report doesn’t earn his Dad’s ire. Victor’s never needed him more at Newman (than he does right now). As for Adam’s idea to bring Sally’s business to Newman, he’ll get over it. So, that’s a ‘no’, Nick concludes.
Rushing to join Sally at her table in the dining room, Chloe rants about a decorating magazine pushing their penthouse remodel back until June. We need to start making money to pay rent on our office space, Chloe frets. Sally’s busy being mad about something Adam did behind her back. That puts Chloe in a better mood – what did he do this time to make you ditch him?
At Adam’s apartment, he and Chelsea aren’t reacting well to a letter from the school’s psychologist; she thinks Connor has OCD. In denial, Adam doubts she knows what she’s talking about.
An antsy Nikki checks the bar for vodka (which she already knows is all gone) Hearing a noise outside, she looks out the window. Come and get me – let’s just end this. Nikki vows never to be Jordan’s prisoner again.
Who’s there!? a terrified Nikki shrieks. No need for alarm, it’s just Lauren.
Joining Jordan at The Empty Glass, Seth declines a drink. He downplays his meeting with Nikki but appreciates the support. Tell me everything, Jordan’s dying to hear.
Though both are determined to get to the bottom of Connor’s behavior, Chelsea dissuades Adam from going down an internet rabbit hole on OCD. He’s not – he’s making a call; going straight to the source.
Not surprisingly, Chloe’s on Sally’s side – Adam was out of line. Sally’s still mad – but working under Newman isn’t a bad idea.
Nick sees the logic in Adam’s idea and believes in Sally’s talent. Victor suggests Adam just wants to cut the financial tie between Nick and Sally.
Nick explains that he’s a silent investor in Sally’s business. Adam wants what’s best for her (and so does Nick; he’s accepted the pair are supposed to be together) Seemingly willing to reconsider Adam’s idea, Victor’s more worried about Jordan calling Nikki.
Going stir crazy, Nikki begs Lauren to get her out of the ranch. OK, to CL’s for one coffee – with the security detail. Don’t make me regret this, Lauren warns.
‘Anything for Connor’, Sharon’s been summoned to Adam’s so he and Chelsea can get a crash course in OCD. Sharon’s no expert but lists symptoms as a coping mechanism. An expert can give you more insight – don’t panic; listen to the psychologist. Adam wants answers NOW. After departing some words of wisdom and support, Sharon leaves.
