Tucker knows Ashley’s resentment will fester. No – she had an epiphany due to a fender bender. I never trusted you. Your animosity didn’t just vanish – get the hell out of my room! Tucker orders.
Aren’t we friends? Or were you using me to goad Tucker? Nate wants what’s best for Audra but doesn’t see how this ends without her getting her heart broken.
Sally’s stunned (and not happy) to hear that Adam’s already working on a plan for her to head a design division at Newman.
Seth’s friend urged him to contact Nikki. Hopefully he and Nikki can be friends again.
Seth’s been drinking out of guilt and shame. It wasn’t your fault, he assures. Nikki doesn’t think they can be friends. It’s not a good idea. Get to a meeting tonight. Seth will pull himself together. Both missing their conversations, Nikki agrees to a cup of coffee once in a while.
What are you after? Tucker’s losing patience. Ashley just wants peace. You broke into my room and ambushed me, he points out. Ashley hates how he left her in Paris and never wants to feel that pain/anger again. Maybe we can talk sometime soon, au revoir, she leaves smiling.
Hoping things work out for Audra, Nate goes to order a drink at the bar. Ashley marches over to Audra’s table – let’s get something straight.
Taking a seat uninvited, Ashley tells Audra that things with Tucker won’t last – he’s out of your league. Audra thinks she’s insecure and jealous. Ashley calls her a little girl – the dynamic’s changing. What does that mean? Audra asks. You’ll see, Ashley’s still smiling as she exchanged a few words with Tucker on her way out.
Adam thinks it would be good for Newman and for Sally’s design firm. Nick will get his investment back and you won’t owe him. No, Adam wouldn’t be Sally’s boss – he trusts and supports her vision. Sally’s NOT sold on this. Victor teased her with a division then reneged. What’s to stop him from doing it again? ‘Me’, Adam (and Nick) will put protections in her contract. This is MY business – MY future, Sally glares.
Adam can see that he went about this the wrong way but his motives are pure – and it’s a good idea. Give it some thought (which is what Victor’s doing) Keep an open mind.
Victor returns to the ranch to ask how things went with Seth. He’s struggling but Nikki thinks she gave him some hope.
At the end of the driveway, Seth sends Jordan a text. She gives up pounding on the jukebox to read it. Seth thanks her for nudging him to reconnect with Nikki. The meeting went well.
When Tucker joins Audra they compare notes on their confusing interactions with Ashley. Did you run into her earlier? No, Tucker lies – the exchange at the bottom of the stairs is the first time he’s seen her this evening.
