Sally’s burned down too many bridges in LA. NY’s not an option either. Chloe thinks it’s time to ask their investor for more funding. Absolutely not, Sally won’t go back to Nick.
Nick wishes Adam hadn’t endorsed Dad’s plan without hearing it. Let’s hope he doesn’t take too many risks and lets us in on the plan when it’s finalized. Oh – what did Adam want to talk to Nick about? He wants to discuss Sally. If Adam’s planning to marry Sally, Nick doesn’t need to know – it’s nothing to do with me.

Vikki’s happy to hear Claire talking about mythology (from the book she brought for her) The parallels are clear. Like Athena, Vikki’s been known to hurl a thunderbolt or two. Both enjoy their visits. Victor makes a surprise visit to ask Claire some questions about Jordan. Vikki’s clearly uncomfortable when Victor sits – what he’d like is clues to catch Jordan.
Claire has no idea what Jordan might do, where she might go – but does believe she set the fire. Vikki and Victor are surprised to hear that Jordan called Claire the other day. I told her I wished she was dead and hung up. Vikki understands – don’t we Dad? Claire wants to help protect the family and worries about Nikki. ‘Call me Victor’ then asks Claire to pass along a message. If Jordan calls again, kindly tell her that I’m willing to make amends for the pain I caused Eve.
Sally has too much pride to admit that things aren’t going well with the new business but Adam knows she’ll need more money. Nick thinks she should come to him and ask for it. Adam reminds that Victor told Sally he was creating a division for her to run. She turned down a job at Chancellor, then Dad pulled the rug out from under her. Adam wants Sally and Chloe brought under the Newman umbrella.
Sally won’t ask Nick for more money. It’s wrong on so many levels. Chloe thinks her reconnecting with Adam is wrong (but will drop it) She sees one more option – take on a new partner.
Chloe continues – we need someone established with deep pockets. Sally doesn’t want to lose control and neither want to give up. Sally suggests they throw a party, design a room for charity, whatever it takes. Sally won’t admit defeat or go back to Nick.
Adam asks Nick to help him sell Victor on the idea of bringing Sally and Chloe into Newman.
Why would you want to make amends with Jordan? Claire’s sure that nothing Victor can say will make her hate him less. Pass along the message if you can, Victor thanks Claire and leaves. Vikki follows him out to ask that he not use Claire to get to Jordan. My daughter’s a victim too. Even talking to Jordan might cause a setback. Victor’s worried about Nikki, not ‘her’. After he storms off, Vikki tells Claire that this is a terrible idea. Knowing that Victor’s setting a trap and using himself as bait, Claire’s more than happy to help.
Back at the ranch, Lauren and Nikki put their work aside. It’s her! Nikki gasps when her phone rings. You’ve already said what you needed to, Lauren dissuades Nikki from answering.
