No, Ashley doesn’t want to go up to Tucker’s suite – come with me please (away from Billy and Devon’s prying eyes)
Victor wants what’s best for you but Lauren knows that Nikki needs a real sponsor; a current AA member who’s sober. Nikki continues to worry about Victor’s reaction (when lo and behold, he appears)
Your Dad wants to be part of your life, Vikki tells Claire that he’s a good man and would have been a good father. We can be your parents now. You’ll get out of here, Vikki knows – please let us help you find your place in this world. Claire’s afraid. You can lean on me, Vikki offers. Both are in tears as Claire clings to her.
This is what family’s about, Vikki hopes she and Cole can continue to see Claire. Call if you need anything, Vikki leaves when informed that Claire has a therapy session to attend.
Humble, Lauren was only doing what any friend would. Invited to lunch with Victor (and Nikki) she declines due to work matters. Your wife is strong and committed, Lauren tells Victor how much she admires Nikki.
Billy comments on Devon’s frosty treatment of dear old Dad. Devon wants to stay on guard with Tucker. Billy’s glad they’re on the same page – he wishes Ashley was too. Hopefully, she’s telling him to go to hell right now.
In the jazz lounge, Ashley and Tucker continue to see very different versions of what happened in Paris. You have a problem with commitment. Tucker feels Ashley was scared he’d break her heart again. When things get real (as they were with us) you look for a way out.
Lauren’s back at Jack’s to update that Nikki’s not mad at either of them. Whatever you said to her worked – she’s coming around and agrees that you’d be a good sponsor.
At Society, Victor’s concerned about Vikki – that’s why he asked Cole what his plans are. Nikki thinks it a good thing that he gets to know his daughter. Both remember how evil Cole’s mother, Eve was. Victor’s worried about Cole getting close to Vikki again.
On the CL’s patio, Vikki reports back to Cole – she sees hope in Claire’s eyes. She hugged me – can you believe it? She felt the 20+ years of longing; she wants her parents love. We’re going to get our daughter back, Vikki’s beginning to believe.
Nikki points out that Vikki’s focused on Claire, not on rekindling things with Cole. Victor disagrees that he’s getting ahead of himself. He doesn’t want Vikki to fall into yet another disastrous relationship.
Cole’s thrilled that Vikki connected with their daughter – even if he’s a bit jealous. Incredible progress. Wishing everyone was as optimistic, Cole updates that Victor summoned him to the ranch for a talk about his future plans with Claire. He seems open to me staying and to including Claire into the family. Cole’s surprised to have something in common with Victor – protecting their daughters.
Tucker knows Ashley loves him but it’s too dangerous – so you sought the comfort of your family – and made me the bad guy (in Paris) You run away – this is why you haven’t been able to maintain a relationship. You could have an incredible life if you let yourself have it.
Next Week: There’s his version, your version and the truth. Traci wants to get closer to the facts. Ashley knows of a way … Is being with Lily still what you want? Heather asks. Daniel’s not sure…. Claire’s shocked when Jordan calls and pleads with her not to hang up.
My Thoughts: Um, if what Nikki needs is a member of AA who’s sober, how is Jack the ‘perfect’ sponsor? He doesn’t attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and he drinks alcohol quite frequently. His addiction was to painkillers, not alcohol… I really hope that Claire’s sincere about her recovery and won’t do anything to help Jordan… I’m beginning to suspect that Tucker’s revenge will be to rob Ashley of her mental stability. Even if he does really love her, it wouldn’t be above Tucker to gaslight her. I’d hate to see her go down the dark path Adam once took Ashley down. The fact that she’s doubting her version of the events in Paris is clearly distressing her already.
