At the launch party, Mariah welcomes the press but won’t let them do interviews. Tessa’s thanked for bringing a package for Sharon – but won’t tell her what is.
Got a minute? Billy asks when Devon arrives at CW – then continues to annoy him by demanding immediate feedback on his great ideas. When their sparkly dates arrive, Abby doesn’t seem as eager as Chelsea to make it a double date.
Handsome Jack and his ravishing wife are ready to network; tonight’s event will be a who’s who of GC’s business elite. Neither blame Mariah for going to work with her Mom. Diane’s reminded – it’s time to promote Kyle. Plenty of time for that, Jack deflects.
In the jazz lounge, Nick hands Sharon flowers from the kids and a CEO desk-plate for her. Launching her own company is a dream come true. With Sally on his arm, Adam makes things awkward by asking it dreams coming true is tonight’s theme.
Meeting Summer at Society, Phyllis just came from the jazz lounge, so suspects she didn’t want to run into Sharon and Chance.
We’ll meet you guys there, Chelsea wastes no time asking about the tension between Billy and Devon. He’s used to having autonomy with Lily – now I’m here, Jill, Chance, Nate and Maime. He’ll adjust, Billy’s sure.
Back in the office, Devon thinks Billy will adjust – he’s used to Jack fast-tracking his ideas.
Nick and Adam take some jabs at each other – but tonight’s about Sharon (who thanks them both for helping her see her vision) When the boys go to get champagne, Sharon tells Sally that Nick’s just her date for the night – he’s always been there for her.
Sally and Adam discuss how it feels for Nick and everyone to see them out in public (or sneaking up to her suite)
Mariah runs the night’s itinerary by Sharon. Schmooze – then Sharon’s speech – the Jabot gift bags. On cue, Jack and Diane arrive to discuss how nice it is to work with family.
Billy and Chelsea make not-so-nice talk with Adam and Sally. They’re surprised to hear that he and Nick are co-CEO’s at Newman. Arriving, Abby scans the crowd for Chance, she can’t imagine him missing Sharon’s big night.
Summer doesn’t want any more of her Mom’s advice (which Sharon overheard by the way) She was cool about it – Summer’s glad it happened. She invited Chance to lunch but he said no.
Needing to go back to finish up some work, Summer assures her Mom that she’s fine being single until she finds true love. Chris then appears to eyeball Phyllis.
