Slurring and blathering, Nikki’s just looking for peace. You won’t find it in a bottle, Lauren remarks. No, don’t call Victor – I’m fine – I can’t go home – he can’t see me, Nikki nearly falls over. Steadying her, Lauren has an idea.
On the patio, Vikki tells Nate the whole story; Claire being stolen as her newborn. Jordan wrecking her Mom’s sobriety. Nate’s sympathetic and supportive – Claire seeing Jordan can be healing. Appreciating his advice, Vikki misses ‘this’ – is what we had destroyed?
In a suite upstairs, Lauren orders coffee from room service and gives Nikki a bottle of water. Your family and friends understand; you’re not alone, she knows Nikki’s fighting for her sobriety. Not hard enough, Nikki feels so very alone. When Victor calls, she begs Lauren to answer.
Answering Nikki’s phone, Lauren tells Victor that they’ll be working on a ‘fashion emergency’, probably all night. She’s been drinking, Victor correctly guesses – please keep an eye her. Agreeing, Lauren ends the call and rejects Nikki’s attempt to send her home.
Nate cares deeply for Vikki but can’t be in a relationship with her and the Newman family (especially Victor) He’ll be her friend; offering support and advice. Take care, he says in parting.
In her suite, Sally offers Adam a truffle, then leads him over to the bed ~kiss~
