Apologizing to Summer as Billy walks off to talk on his phone, Kyle complains that his Uncle believes he’s scheming for his job. Is he wrong? Summer’s also suspicious of Kyle’s sudden change of heart.
Tucker’s not underestimating Kyle – he’s a Daddy’s boy and a Mama’s boy. I’m the only one who can… anyway – it’s time to start trusting me again. What makes you think I ever trusted you? Audra never loved or hated Tucker. He seems about to say the L-word but catches himself and says ‘we’re complicated’ instead. Yes, we are. And now it’s time to make out kiss passionately.
Still at Society, Abby tries to talk Devon into reconciling with Tucker to protect Jabot and Chancellor Winters. Think of Dom. Abby will fight dirty if she has to – I’ll do what needs to be done.
Coming through the revolving door, Ashley wonders why Tucker’s so hostile towards her. He was fine yesterday when accepting the company they’d planned to run together. What changed??
Kyle insists that he’s fine being Jabot’s COO (though is still salty about being let go from Marchetti) Summer can’t help but wonder if they’d still be together if they’d stayed in Milan.
Kyle tries not to think about ‘what could have been’. It just popped into Summer’s head right now. After Jack briefly interrupts, Kyle opines that everything would have been different if they hadn’t moved back – but there’s nothing we can do about it. Kyle goes to work with his Dad in the den when Chelsea arrives with her sketches. Summer would like to go over them – but not here.
Abby refuses to sit around and wait for Tucker’s next move. You should give me a role at CW or put me on the board. Devon’s not even sure if he can do that. Abby wants to let Tucker know that she’s in this fight too.
Ashley updates Tucker that she spoke with Devon but doesn’t have good news.
Chancellor Winters is your legacy, Sharon wants to celebrate Chance’s decision. He’d rather celebrate her. When Summer and Chelsea’s arrival interrupts their kiss, Chance announces that he’s leaving the force. He thanks Summer for being a good friend. See you around. Chelsea and Sharon both notice how smitten Summer is.
On the CL’s patio, Summer loves the re-designs (which Chelsea has to give Chloe partial credit for) Chatting about how hard divorce is, she then asks Summer if she’s interested in Chance. Yes, but he’s dating Sharon. If things could work out the way you want them to, what would that look like? Summer’s response is a dreamy smile.
Jack always wanted to work side by side with his son (as he did with John) I’m down a rung or two from working by your side, Kyle points out. He then gets a call from Audra – she needs to see him right NOW. Jack looks suspicious.
You’ll have to work harder to get Devon to forgive you, Ashley updates but offers to help Tucker (for Dom’s sake) Their moment of civility ends quickly and awkwardly when Tucker leaves Ashley blinking back tears at the bar.
