Diane badgers Kyle – she saw a glimpse of the old Kyle when he did their vows and spoke to Summer – then became a different person when Audra showed up. Kyle knows what he wants – his old job back – he’s going to replace Billy.
Devon asked Tucker about the look he saw between him and Maime. He, Abby and Lily now agree that it’s one thing after another. Maybe I need to make a clean break.
As Danny watches from the patio, Phyllis tells Jack to have a nice day, then leaves him to reject Tucker’s truce. We both know what you put Phyllis up to (framing Billy – we’re on to you) Getting a text from Phyllis, Jack’s off to Society.
Were you followed? Phyllis asks before telling Jack that she hacked into Tucker’s laptop – he bought a listening device and accompanying phone app. He said he has eyed and ears everywhere. It all makes sense to Jack now. After he leaves, Danny startles Phyllis – what are you up to?
Still in the park, Abby, Devon and Lily continue to debate Tucker. When his relationship with Ashley fell apart, so did he. Abby and Lilly will support Devon no matter what. He won’t let Tucker affect their family and company.
Diane’s thrilled to hear that Kyle wants to come back to Jabot. Both are puzzled when Jack marches in to find he bug in the bonsai.
Phyllis has an easy lie for every question Danny asks about her and Jack. He saw the suspicious exchange between her, Jack and Tucker and hopes she’s not caught in the middle. You sound paranoid, Phyllis keeps smiling/lying. Paranoid about what? Daniel appears to throw an arm around Danny.
Joining Audra at the club, Tucker needs to stay ahead of Jack and Phyllis. How are things on your end? Enjoyable – she was able to reignite things with Kyle. The best part, he’s after Billy’s job. Ah, you want Kyle to get Billy out of the way, she realizes.
After quietly placing the bonsai tree on the front porch, Jack shares his intel (on Tucker) with Kyle and Diane. We can use this to our advantage.
My Thoughts: Kyle’s shirt sure looks fresh and crisp – almost like he just picked it up at the dry cleaners instead of a hotel room floor…. Oh, the irony. ‘It’s not like you to ‘neglect’ your son’, says Diane to the son she let mourn her ‘death’ for a decade….. Were you followed? Phyllis asks Jack with a straight face – as they sit at a table positioned directly inside Society’s front entrance. Surely, after leading Tucker on a ‘wild goose chase’, Jack wouldn’t be stupid enough to park his car in Society’s parking lot – right next to Phyllis’ car, would he? The best spy among them is Danny Romalotti. Despite being an ever-so-famous pop star, he’s able to eavesdrop on everyone. I’ll give him a pass allowing Daniel to sneak up on him – but what’s Phyllis’ excuse? She didn’t see Daniel walking straight towards her? … If only, if ONLY, Traci had walked through the front door to ask ‘Hey, guys, what the hell is Tucker’s bonsai tree doing on the front step!? I almost tripped over the damn thing! By now, it will be obvious that I didn’t have time for proofreading/spellcheck. It’s not so much time, it’s that I have a horrible cold. So, it’s on to today’s episode before the NyQuil kicks in.
