In the jazz lounge, Danny flubs a note – time to take a break. Phyllis orders a drink, he passes. Daniel doesn’t hate you, he reassures – he just doesn’t trust you. Phyllis is trying – everyone makes mistakes but no one gives he a break – and that makes her sad.
At the house, Billy reports his run in with Tucker. He sends Jack confirmation that the funds have been returned. No need, Jack trusts his brother. They shake hands and embrace.
Phyllis bemoans being seen as a she-devil. There’s people pulling for you – even me, Danny gives her a pep talk. Happiness comes from within. Believe in yourself and other will believe in you too.
Over drinks, Billy and Jack discuss Tucker. Let security watch out for his helicopter, Jack wants this day to be perfect. Speaking of perfect, Diane descends the staircase in a pink satin dress.
Diane looks like and an angel and feels like a queen. Billy looks nauseated as she and Jack kiss.
Danny sits Phyllis beside him at the piano. She looks mesmerized as he finishes the bridge he’s been struggling with all morning. They thank one another and hold hands.
Upstairs, still at the bar, Tucker flashes back to telling Audra that Adam sold their cover-up info to Billy. What will we do now? she’d asked. Tucker sends her a text – he needs her to reignite the fire with Kyle.
On the Abbott’s terrace, staff wander about with trays of drinks and snacks. Jack and Diane are happy to see Kyle chatting with Summer (but he and Traci notice her reaction when Chance arrives (with Sharon) Jack thanks all for coming. All applaud his little speech (except Billy)
