Still in the park, Nick asks Sally how Adam’s kiss made her feel. Flashback to how flustered she was. Nick needs honesty. Sally has mixed emotions – it’s hard to see Adam in so much pain, knowing he loves me and I’m … with you (not ‘in love with you’)
No, Sally didn’t say she’s in love with Adam – it’s like you and Sharon – those feelings don’t disappear. Nick now realizes why she can’t take the next emotional step with him. You’re lying to yourself. Sally loves what she has with Nick – she doesn’t want to feel confused but his is where I’m at. Please tell me I haven’t screwed this up. Adam arrives in the park as they hug.
Vikki believes that keeping the peace is in her best interest long term. Bringing Adam back is another error in judgment. But it might take him damaging the company to make Victor see it that way.
Diane wants Kyle in position for when Billy screws up. If he doesn’t? You’ll still have a good job at Jabot, Diane persists. Kyle can’t live in his father’s shadow forever. On cue, Jack and Billy come home.
Billy’s sorry to that Kyle’s out at Newman Media. Diane and Jack would love to have him back at Jabot. We’ll see, Kyle hurries out. Is he OK? Jack asks Diane.
In his office, Victor flashes back to Vikki claiming to put her issues with Adam aside – him warning that he’ll fire her if she doesn’t go along. Hello darling, Nikki and her glittery pants arrive. Vikki’s had a change of heart, he reports. Do you believe her? Nikki’s not sure how Adam will do in a subordinate position.
Strolls over, Adam assumes Nick’s hostility is to do with the McCall-Kirsten thing. Sally looks incredibly uncomfortable.
Nikki can’t help but worry about Victor working longs hours. Yes, he looks healthy but she wants to take care of him like her did her during her MS. They want to be together for a long time. Victor feels great being back to work – where he sees more of his kids. He WILL whip them all into shape – then Nick will want to come back to work.
Stay away from everyone I care about, Nick barks at Adam (who then guesses she told him about the kiss)
After Billy leaves, Diane wonders why Jack’s the one dealing with Phyllis. He’d rather talk about Kyle. Upstairs, Kyle overhears his Mom saying that he needs to know that we value him, not just as our son, but as an important part of the company.
Letting Tucker into her suite, Audra confirms that she snubbed him for Nikki’s sake. He tells her that Adam sold their emails to the Abbotts. What will you do now? she assumes he can’t go after Jabot now.
My Thoughts: Christ on Toast – Nikki’s bedazzled outfit should come with a warning that they may induce seizures. Good thing she’s not around anyone who’s epileptic… Oh wait, Victor was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy 20 years ago. Let’s hope he doesn’t take her swing dancing.
