Ashley loves Tucker and has no doubts about marrying him. Abby disagrees. Your instincts are screaming at you to put the wedding on pause (you don’t trust Tucker)
Before going to the club for dinner and dancing, the newlyweds have come home to make love in their bedroom that’s been turned into a candle shop.
The newlyweds would rather stay in bed than go to the club – but they need to escalate the pretend fight with Billy (so Tucker and Ashley will trust him) We must stop Ashley, Diane insists.
When Tucker joins Ashley to say that he and Billy were commiserating, Billy sets him straight. You and I will never be friends. He only cares about how all this affects his family – YOU are NOT family. Everything I do is about the people I love, Billy adds.
You’re pulling the plug on Adustus and throwing me out of the family – again? Adam’s tired of always having to crawl back. Victor’s tired of Adam’s attitude!!! He won’t pull the plug on Adustus but he is changing Adam’s involvement in it.
Downstairs, Jack thanks Traci for attending the wedding. She’s glad to see her brother so happy and sorry about the tension with Ashley and Billy. Things are going to get ugly, he says, then falls silent after a ‘wow’ when Diane descends the staircase in a glittery dress.
Victor’s stepping in to protect Adam from himself. Meet me half way. There is no half way – only YOUR way, Adam barks. Victor turns red as he shouts – I run this company, this family!!!! Adam just wants to know if the Adustus-Kirsten deal will go through if he agrees not to go after Newman Media.
Back at the club, Billy wishes Tucker and Diane would both go away. After Abby exits and Billy goes to the bar, Kyle and Audra come downstairs. Ashley’s unimpressed but Tucker thinks they make an ‘excellent’ couple. Billy nags Kyle for being too busy to attend his parents wedding. On cue Mr and Mrs Abbott come through the revolving door. This is when the fun begins, Tucker says as he and Ashley watch from the sidelines.
Now calm, Victor’s poured a drink for Adam and himself. Is this a farewell drink? No, it’s a warning – Victor will merge the companies – Adam, Nick and Sharon will work under him – united. How lucky could a black sheep get? Oh, I hired Phyllis as head of IT, Adam says on his way out.
At the bar, Kyle claims that his meetings were canceled – so he and Audra came for dinner. Billy didn’t attend the wedding because he thinks it’s a joke, a disaster waiting to happen. Your own son didn’t even show up, he mocks Jack. Ashley and Tucker watch in silence as Billy rants about Diane blowing up the family.
Boxing gloves on, Victor takes his wrath out on the long bag until he’s sweaty and exhausted.
No need to take this outside, Billy’s leaving. She’s going to tear it all down – the family, Jabot. It’ll be on you, he warns Jack. I’m done. Looks like the rats are jumping ship, Tucker calls out. The walls are crumbling around you – and we’ll be the final wrecking ball, Ashley tells Diane as she and Tucker leave the club. Jack and Diane are left to hope Ashley and Tucker bought their act.
Joining Billy at CL’s, Ashley asks – what are we going to do about Jack?
Next Week; Would you ever consider leaving Jabot to come work with your Mother? Sharon asks a surprised Mariah…. Since my bowl of fruit didn’t inspire you, you can draw me instead, Lily drops her robe for Daniel … Billy tells Jack that Ashley asked him to be a Trojan horse here at Jabot … What’s the real reason you’re here? Adam asks. Phyllis needs him to find something on Tucker, to take him down.
