Kyle’s not OK with his Dad choosing Summer over him. The Great Jack Abbot has spoken. Traci implores Kyle to stay – don’t do this, she appeals to Jack (who stares silently at Kyle until he slams out)
Spotting Victor, Sharon approaches him to ask why he’s pushing Nick and Adam to work together.
Standing by her story, Vikki replaced Nick with Nate because he’s more in line with the way she operates. Ruthless? Nick frowns. Vikki doesn’t need him as her ‘voice of reason’ – you should go work with Adam.
No, Summer doesn’t want her Mom to talk to Kyle. Phyllis refuses to believe things are over – love always finds a way.
Coming through the revolving door, Kyle smiles at Audra and flashes back to the job offer she made to him in bed. Sashaying over, she ends her call by saying she’ll speak to her partner (which very well might be Kyle)
Diane protests Jack’s treatment of Kyle. He’s old enough to face the consequence of his actions, Jack declares the house sadder without Summer. All business, Billy touts the teen fragrance line. Tucker’s end game is Jabot, Jack insists they remove Ashley from the board immediately – who’s with me?
Audra and Kyle flirt over tea at the bar. He’s got his eye on Newman Media (and Audra) Suddenly remembering she has a company to run, she asks ‘what would it take to make you mine?’ Cue Summer’s arrival.
Sharon’s not sure having Nick work with Adam is a good idea. Do you have a better solution? Victor asks. She just might.
In Sally’s suite, Nick knows she doesn’t want to talk about Adam but he could really use her advice.
Sharon’s summoned Adam back to CL’s. Yes, he forgot something – his manners. Oh, and as the new owner of Kirsten Inc, she has a proposition for him.
Ashley isn’t sure it’s wise to get Phyllis involved – when she goes rogue, bad things happen. Tucker thinks it worth the risk. Instead of pointing her in Diane’s direction, we point her in Jack’s.
Summer interrupts Kyle and Audra’s flirting. No, you’re not interrupting, Audra leaves – I’ll be in touch, she leaves Summer and Kyle to stare at one another.
Traci and Billy are astounded – you want to remove Ashley from the board!? Dad wanted us all to have a seat. Diane surprises Jack’s siblings (and him) by siding with them.
Ashley and Tucker weigh their options. Phyllis can throw Diane off her game better than we can. OK – let’s find this Carson guy and get rid of Diane once and for all.
In the park, Phyllis tells Mike that Summer’s life is imploding. I must help her. She thinks I’m to blame for her marriage falling apart. Hang on a little longer, Mike’s close to finding Carson.
Summer’s not happy to hear that Audra offered Kyle a job. She reminds him that she went to Milan/Marchetti to protect his relationship with Harrison. I begged you not to follow me but you knew we belonged together. Audra’s my brother’s ex – she’s sketchy. Maybe I have a type, Kyle’s just fine with his choices.
Vic would be overjoyed if I didn’t return to Newman but Nick’s hesitant to be used as a pawn in his Dad’s game. On the other hand, Adam’s got no one to talk to. None of us are safe if he reverts. You care about your brother, Sally realizes.
The company’s in a mess but Sharon’s up for the challenge. She wants to merge Kirsten Inc. with McCall – and for her and Adam to run this powerhouse together.
My Thoughts: Adam’s incredibly unprofessional – but if he doesn’t care about his employees being laid off, he surely doesn’t care if they learn the news via coffee shop gossip. It would serve him right if one of them sabotaged the office on their way out (wherever that is)… It’ll be nice to see Sharon outside of her coffee shop – but McCall doesn’t seem to be headquartered anywhere. I guess she and Adam can work out of back to back booths at CL’s. Choosing to work with Adam shows her business acumen (or lack thereof) … With all these new businesses, Sally and Chloe should have lots of redecorating to do … Ah yes, Phyllis – nothing says ‘I’m going incognito’ like hiding behind a magazine wearing a giant black, floppy hat and sunglasses not seen since Roy Orbison (RIP)… Summer might want to do some research before bailing out on Marchetti to become a fashion ‘vlogger’ (blogging is not exactly a lucrative field, this I know) … If anyone’s wondering, Adam’s company ‘Adustus’ means ‘browned/scorched/charred/burned’ (which is how his terminated employees feel right now) Anyone working anywhere in GC should unionize ASAP.
