Dropping by the penthouse, Lily shares her big news – Nate’s seeing Vikki! Yes, Devon knew, but not about his and Audra’s temporary positions. Lily wants to believe that Nate’s a good person but he keeps proving her wrong. How would you feel about being his neighbour? Devon asks.
Abby’s summoned Chance to the GCAC to make sure he’s really OK with moving out of the estate. I’m here to listen.
Jack has no ulterior motive – and he’s not choosing Summer over Kyle; there’s great jobs here at Jabot. You and Summer can’t work day in day out together. If that’s what Kyle wants, maybe that should tell him something. I’ll get back to you, he marches out.
Over drinks, Abby apologizes for hurting Chance. We grew apart, he hopes they can be friends, for Dom’s sake. He’s in a good place now and wants to move out of the mausoleum.
Devon updates Lily that he and Abby are moving to the Chancellor estate. They’re all putting Dom first. Lily loves the penthouse – the last place Neil was alive. Devon wants to keep it in the family.
Her bags packed, Summer flashes back to happier/sappier times with Kyle. Did Diane call you? she asks when he comes home. Briefly taken aback by Summer’s luggage, he tells her that he’s stepping away from Marchetti. There’s only one thing left to do, she calls upstairs for Harrison.
Kyle and Summer sit Harrison down. I’m going to be moving out but will see you every day, she promises. We’ll have more fun than ever, Kyle adds. I love you Harrison, Summer hugs the silent boy.
To us, Nate and Audra clink glasses. Everything fell into place so easily. Nate has no idea when or if Nick’s coming back – maybe he’ll refocus on his charity work. Things couldn’t be going better between Nate and Vikki. He’s heading back to the office – she has something to take care of. Nothing he and Vikki need to know about – yet.
Abby comes home with good news – Chance says they can move into the estate at the end of the week. Why not? I’m in, Lily hugs Devon.
At the door, it seems as if Summer’s waiting for Kyle to ask her to stay. No, she doesn’t need help with her bags. I’ve got it, she wheels her stuff out.
Diane’s in Jack’s office to whine about Summer lashing out at her. He’s sorry to hear it. Summer has no right to blame you for her problems. He had his own run in with Kyle (who appears on cue to inform that Summer’s moved out – they talked to Harrison – and he’s resigning) Jack’s stunned that Kyle’s declining a job at Jabot.
As Abby goes over her to-do list, Devon ‘drifts’ off. Is he having second thoughts? No, but it’ll be tough for him to leave this penthouse. He’s not changing his mind – it’s time to move on.
At the revolving door, Chance shows off his stellar detective skills. He looks at Summer’s luggage. Tell me this isn’t what it looks like It’s exactly what it looks like – Kyle asked me to move out.
Audra had a ‘banner day’ as Newman Media’s new CEO – how was your day? Summer moved out, Kyle announces his separation.
Diane suggests that Kyle might come back to Jabot after a little break. Not so sure, Jack picks up a framed photo of Kyle and Summer. The house will be a lot less happier without her, he mopes.
Chance is sorry – if you need someone to talk to, I’m here. Summer hopes this will all blow over and she can get her marriage back on track.
Sorry to hear it, Audra hopes what happened last night wasn’t a factor. No, Kyle and Summer had problems way before he slept with Audra. I’m out of a job, he adds. She’s surprised – Jabot’s your family company. Interesting, she smiles.
