Informed that Summer hasn’t been completely upfront with him, Mike facepalms; my morning was going so well, he sighs. What did you do? Summer explains that she was the one to see her Mom, not Daniel. She’s been aiding and abetting her. Mike’s aghast to hear that Summer asked Chance what charges she might face – as a friend. My husband hates me, Summer’s pretty sure she’ll need a divorce attorney. Taking her hand across the table, Mike’s sure that Kyle will come around. At the revolving door, Audra flashes back to sleeping with Kyle – then sashays on over to flash her cat-that-ate-the-canary smile at Summer.
When Audra introduces herself to Mike, Summer adds that she’s the one who broke Noah’s heart. We’ve both moved on, Audra hopes he and Ally are happy in London. She follows her phony condolences by saying ‘thank God you have your husband and his family to support you’.
Back at the house, Jack speaks from experience – Kyle shouldn’t make any hasty decisions. Kyle’s mind is made up. Phyllis will be back soon – Summer will ALWAYS choose her mother over me. Our marriage would NOT survive the chaos.
Cameron’s dead – we should burn the box, Nick says. Sharon wants to see what’s inside. Cameron can’t hurt us anymore.
Nick reads an entry Cameron wrote in his journal as a teenager – I’m gonna be rich and marry a beautiful woman. Sharon pulls out a dog collar – and Frankie’s ashes. A family photo – Cameron had ripped the faces of his parents out. Lastly, some paperwork that shocks Sharon – Kirsten Incorporated has been signed over to me.
Kyle won’t let his son be part of Phyllis’ circus. Jack thinks Summer’s remorseful and Diane’s forgiven her. Yeah, well she won’t forgive Phyllis. She (Diane) lied to me about Harrison – how far will she go to make Phyllis pay for trying to ruin her life?! Kyle is separating from Summer to protect his son.
Apologizing for interrupting them, Audra leaves Mike to correctly guess ‘that one’s a real piece of work’. You wouldn’t be wrong, Summer notes that everyone in town has an opinion about her Mom – it’s just gonna get worse.
Cameron signed the paperwork last year. The attorney wants me to contact him. Cameron found a way to toy with you from the grave, Nick adds that Cameron spent so much time in prison that his company must be in ruins. Sharon doesn’t want the ‘blood money’ anyway.
Running into ‘sunshine’ at CL’s, Mariah changes her forecast to ‘cloudy with a chance of Summer being a bitch’. Kyle basically shouts the same story to Mariah that he did to his Dad. He doesn’t want Harrison exposed to the toxic Summer and Phyllis. She took a sledgehammer to my trust, Kyle told Summer to go.
Back at the house, Summer correctly guesses that Jack’s been told everything. She appreciates the hug but won’t let Jack make excuses for her. I could have gotten Diane’s murder charge dropped – you must hate me too. No, Jack could never hate Summer. Kyle’s deeply hurt, he knows. Summer loves him – she doesn’t want to leave this house, her family. Jack thinks some time apart might give Kyle a chance to cool down. It feels ‘final’, to Summer.
Sharon thinks Nick should go check on Sally. Adam’s grieving too, she wishes they could mourn their loss together. Nick told Adam that Sally needs time and space but he’ll do what he wants – some people just don’t know how to fade into the woodwork, they both look at the box.
Jack’s adored Summer since delivering her in an elevator but he’ll support whatever decision Kyle makes. As for Marchetti – you (Summer) are the brand so if you and Kyle can’t work together, he should be the one to step away.
Back at CL’s, Kyle’s story continues – Summer basically accused me of throwing her onto the street just because she helped her Mom. No, he’s not having second thoughts. Mariah thinks he’s doing the right thing? I’m just a call away. As Mariah exits through the front door, Audra enters from the patio. Kyle’s all smiles when she purrs ‘hello’ in his ear.
Next Week: I’ve become aware that you and a certain member of my family have become acquainted. Victor’s summoned Audra to Society to give her a serious warning ….. I guess there’s just one thing left to do, Summer brushes past Kyle to shout ‘Harrison’ up the staircase. Could you come down here for a minute? …. Sharon has an idea but Nick would have to get his hands dirty. Whatever it takes, he’s up for it.
My Thoughts: I’m sorry, but who am I supposed to feel sorry for; the spoiled Supergirl who’s been lying to her husband for months or the cheating husband who, with a straight (though contorted) face claims that he’s the betrayed one – and it’s she who can’t be trusted …. Did anyone else think of Brad Pitt in the movie Seven during Nick and Sharon’s scenes. “What’s in the box??? What’s in the BOX????!! Luckily, not Gwyneth Paltrow’s head. I mean, it’s not nice that she sells vagina scented candles that occasionally explode but that wouldn’t justify lopping off.her head. Jack says we all need to be more forgiving, after all.
