Over champagne, Lauren and Mike speak fondly of Phyllis – she’s made one ghastly mistake after another – too many to list. But they both adore her and think she can turn over a new leaf,

Summer describes how things fell apart with Kyle. She pushed him away to keep her Mom’s secret – and prolonged his Mom’s suffering. Kyle’s furious, he won’t even look at me. I’ve broken his trust. How do I fix this? she asks her Dad.

Now freshly showered, Audra shows Kyle the door. If this happens again, great – if not, she had a sensational time. Good night. Closing the door, Audra looks mighty pleased with herself.

Skipping downstairs, Kyle runs into his parents at the revolving door. Hey. Hey. Jack and Diane just had a lovely evening. What about you???

Jack doesn’t mean to pry – they assumed Kyle got a room because of what’s going on with Summer. Diane hopes the shower cleared his head. Kyle’s realized that staying away isn’t the answer; he’s going home; to Harrison.

Mike and Lauren debate what would rehabilitate Phyllis. Lauren thinks they just need to give her the right motivation – something she wants.

Nick’s supportive – you and Kyle will get through this. Phyllis asked too much of you. She’s a cyclone that mows down everything in her path. Both wish Summer had come to her Dad sooner. Feeling stupid and that she’s lost both her Mom and Kyle, Summer’s comforted by Nick.

Lauren has no doubt that her brilliant attorney husband can help Phyllis. Mike can’t get rid of the entire ‘boatload of charges’. And now it’s time to start their romantic evening ~kiss~

Still at the revolving door, Diane apologizes for her failed attempt to push Kyle and Summer back together. Not wanting to discuss it, Kyle leaves abruptly. Diane notes that he seemed exhausted. Jack thought he seemed nervous. But never mind – we had an incredible evening ~hug~

Comfy in a robe, Audra’s on her laptop reading an article about Kyle. Nice pic (of him and Summer) she says sarcastically sneers.

Summer feels a bit better – the only other person she’s confided in is Diane. She even tried to reason with Kyle. Nick preaches patience; give him space. Your Mom is manipulative – Kyle knows that. Nick offers to talk to him.

Naked beneath the covers, Mike and Lauren kiss and drink champagne.

Done with her laptop, Audra gets a text from Nate. ‘Ready for tomorrow? Our worlds are about to change’. Maybe mine already has, Audra smiles to herself.

Jack and Diane come home to update Summer that Kyle’s on his way from the club. After Nick leaves, Summer declines Jack and Diane’s offer to stick around. When she greets Kyle with a ‘hi’, guilt is written all over his face, his silence and inability to look at Summer, even his gestures and posture scream ‘I cheated’. He plods upstairs, leaving Summer to look utterly devastated. She knows.
