At the jazz lounge, Jack lists all the things he loves about September. The month we’ll get married, Diane hopes Kyle and Summer have worked through their problems by then. Tonight is about just us, Jack distracts with a kiss. Oh damn – Ashley and Tucker have arrived.
Billy joins Chelsea on the CL’s patio. He’s looking forward to movie night but unfortunately, he’s told that Connor’s refusing to come out of his room.
Adam drops by Sally’s suite with food. She’s not hungry – Nick’s been arrested for assaulting Cameron. Adam’s not surprised. It’s not his first time (he reminds Sally of what happened with Ashland; the story she refused to run at Newman Media) Nick takes things to the extreme when protecting his loved ones, Adam concludes.
Chance convinces Sharon not to go after Cameron. He can’t imagine how terrified she is right now but Faith needs you to be smart. Let me do my job – trust me. Nick arrives after making bail. What’s going on? He took our baby! Sharon sobs.
Updated (by Sharon) that the cat didn’t go outside (ergo Cameron’s been inside the house) Nick shouts at him via a listening device he’s sure he’ll find. I know what you did – having me set up, grabbing my kid because you’re not man enough to face me! Chance stands by uselessly as Nick finally finds a listening device attached to a photo frame. Sharon shouts into it herself – bring my daughter home you bastard!!
Diane suggests a toast to true love that never dies. Tucker wants to toast to righting old wrongs. Rekindling old flames, is Jack’s idea. That reminds Ashley of the time Diane burned the pool house down, How about ‘to the abundance of love in the Abbott family’, Diane grins.
Nick protected his sister from a madman, Sally comments before using her borderline-pre-eclampsia to drop the stressful topic of this lunatic. Since sitting in silence is ‘awkward’, they chat about why Adam’s working so hard at McCall. His goal is to take back the company that was once his – Newman Media.
Cameron knows our plans, our fears. What we’re doing and why. What does he want? Sharon, Nick informs. Chance makes a call to get cops closer to the airport. He’ll contact you to set up a time and place to meet. After he leaves to check Cameron’s room for clues, Sharon cries in Nick’s arms.
Continuing to call Tucker ‘honey’, Ashley has no plans to move out after the wedding – though they may make some modifications to the house. My house? Jack balks. An electric fence, they joke. Jack would like to have one night off from the bickering. “She started it”, Ashley and Diane say in unison. They’re shouting at one another when Abby walks down the steps to wonder what fresh hell this is.
Chelsea worries these moods might be a hereditary thing Connor will have do deal with. Billy will talk to him – maybe it’s about a girl. I’ve got this. Good luck, Chelsea sends him off.
I should have taken Faith, Nick fumes. She had a police escort, Sharon won’t let him blame himself. Nick then calls Sally to say that he’s out of jail, but gives no details. Asking to speak to Adam, he swears him to secrecy, then updates that Cameron kidnapped Faith. Adam will take care of Sally while Nick will take care of things his end.
