Daniel tells Mike that he was the one who got the call from Phyllis. That he’s the one who met her in the park. She told him that Stark bullied and threatened her into framing Diane for her murder. She had no choice but to kill Stark – it was self-defense. It was his life or hers. She made the right choice. Where is Phyllis now? Daniel has no idea.
Bombarded with questions, Daniel doesn’t want Summer told that Phyllis is alive. Why not? all are astounded. She’ll be hurt that Mom didn’t come to her. When do the lies stop!? Jack’s had enough.
When Johnny comes out to try help his Dad smooth Connor’s ruffled feathers, Connor snaps – enough – let’s go back inside.
Dom’s asleep by the time Tucker drops by the penthouse. Harmony’s brought their grandson a bunch of instruments. When will Devon get back to the studio? Back to his calling?
Mom was forced to do what she did, Daniel insists. Jack’s astounded – why didn’t she ask for help? Would you have? Daniel turns it up a notch – she’s been punished enough for trusting the wrong man. We turned her backs on her once, we can’t now.
Harmony thinks it a shame for Devon’s musical talent to go to waste. He’s focused on Dom but still has his label so is music adjacent. Hearing Dom’s ‘da da’, Devon runs up to his son.
Jack won’t be blamed for Phyllis’ choices. Get her to come back and we’ll have the police sort it out. Daniel balks at his Mom being arrested.
You hated me and my Mom when you found out she was your bio Mom. Yes, but Johnny just needed a second – now he loves hanging out with them. You just like having someone else to boss around, Connor glares at Johnny.
No, Daniel hasn’t seen his Mom since that day in the park. Mike has bad news for Daniel – as much as he’d like to make all this go away, it won’t work out like you think (it all being a moot point since Stark’s dead)
Harmony thinks it an afront to the universe for Devon not to share his God-given gifts. Tucker’s on shaky ground with Devon so won’t comment. Hearing Devon singing a lullaby to Dom.
Nobody asked you to come out here, Connor continues to whine about (and to) Johnny. Billy delivers a good pep talk. Take some time but trust your Mother and tell her how you’re feeling. If it’ll get everyone to back off, fine, Connor marches inside. Billy thinks that went well.
Mike needs evidence, not the words of the son of a dead mother who just reappeared. That’s the legal system talking, sorry. He lists the charges Phyllis faces. You know there’s nothing I wouldn’t do for her but the cold truth is, I’m representing Diane. He’s not even sure he could spin this story. We need evidence. They convince Jack not to talk to Chris – we can’t tell anyone about this.
Next Week; Nate has at talk with Audra – we’re helping each other – we have to trust each other to get exactly what we want, and I know exactly what you want … What’s going on? Chelsea asks Daniel. Oh, you know, just some bombs to explode, he deadpans… I don’t know what we’re looking for but we’ll now it when we see it, Jack tells Kyle (inside the motel room Phyllis killed Stark in)
