Back at CL’s, Nate tells Sharon that there’s still tension in his family but he won’t apologize for being ambitious. He’s made some mistakes that have affected his personal life. Sharon noticed that Nate came to the party alone – is everything OK with Elena?
When Elena shows up at Society, Mariah’s surprised that Nate didn’t tell her about the party in Neil’s honour. Elena’s not on speaking terms with him – he tried to keep me quiet but she’s done being quiet.
Finding Summer in the park, Kyle’s asked if he talked to Daniel. No, is that who sent you a text that made you run out? Summer had to get out of that house ~hug~ I love you. There’s nothing you can’t tell me, Kyle pleads – talk to me. We’ll find a way through it. What if that’s not possible? Summer whimpers.
Power and success is all Nate cares about now, Elena feels like an idiot for believing that he wanted to change. She tells Mariah that there’s no coming back from this. Nate made his decision and now I need to make mine.
Nate tells Sharon that he’s to blame – him finding passion in business created issues between him and Elena. You’ve lost that common ground in medicine, Sharon asks Nate if he likes the man he sees in the mirror. Nate does – he’s excited about his work and feels terrible about hurting Elena.
Kyle suggests a vacation – we can go back to Milan or anywhere Summer will feel safe. YOU are my priority. She balks at telling Harrison that Phyllis is dead – we need to wait. Wait for what? Kyle’s confused but agrees – if Summer will come home with him.
In his suite at the GCAC, Daniel pours himself a drink, then answers a call from an unknown number. Hello? Mom, is that you?
Diane cares for Summer and will do what she can to make her comfortable. Jack chimes in – this is Diane’s home. He knows Ashley’s hate campaign had nothing to do with her. As they continue to argue about Summer, Kyle comes home with her – if any of you give a damn about Summer, you’ll leave her out of your feud.
Daniel continues to talk to dead air – don’t be mad that Summer told me. The thought of seeing you again … Summer told me why you left – you can’t disappear – we need you. What you’re doing is cruel. Come back so we can be a family again. Hanging up, Daniel storms out.
Nate was warned that power is intoxicating – and it is. It caused him to make mistakes. Sharon still believes he can repair the damage.
Still in the bedroom, Elena again flashes back – you’ve changed, she told Nate – unless this is who you’ve always been. She smashes a framed photo of her and Nate.
When Diane asks if Summer’s alright, Kyle snaps – no, she’s not! He lectures Ashley. She and Jack apologize. This has to stop, Summer needs a safe place. Diane apologizes too and will give Summer space. Kyle announces that he, Summer and Harrison are moving into the poolhouse.
Nate’s at the point of no return with no one to blame but himself.
Elena sobs as she finishes packing. Putting the smashed photo back in its place, she wheels out her suitcase.
Summer thanks Kyle for protecting her. Harrison will like staying in the poolhouse. Daniel’s on the front step, contemplating. We need to tell Harrison about DD, Summer hugs Kyle then pulls away and runs upstairs. Daniel leaves.
