Jack’s not done shouting. Billy should know better than to listen to anything Jeremy has to say – he’s blaming Diane for Phyllis’ death. He married a woman he barely knows!! This is insanity!
Ashley rants ‘n raves to Tucker. She doesn’t laugh at any of his jokes but chortles when he claims that if they got fake-engaged, it would turn into true love.
Diane joins Kyle on the patio. Without a word, he stands to hug his Mom.
At GCAC’s bar, Daniel and Summer continue to grieve. He hands Summer his tablet – a drawing he did last night. She thinks it perfect for the programs at the service. This memorial will be exactly what Mom deserves.
Diane knows Phyllis dying must have brought painful memories for Kyle. He worries that Summer’s hurt to see him so close to his Mother. Diane thinks she might be the reason Summer’s shutting Kyle out.
Daniel finds the whole thing suspect; that smarmy sonofabitch had something to do with Mom’s death. He assures Summer that he’ll find out.
Summer agrees with Daniel – Mom’s death was no coincidence. Sure, Stark marrying her is suspicious but the person she blames is Diane.
Upstairs, Ashley invites Tucker to make his pitch. He’d throw an epic engagement party. He’ll wow her and the whole town (and Ashley, by putting a rock on her finger that could be seen from space) Their wedding would make that gala look like the county fair. You’ll see – we were meant to be.
Summer tells Daniel that she, Jack and Kyle caught Diane fighting with Phyllis – she threatened to kill her! Hours later, Mom died. She tried to tell me that she was afraid of Diane, Summer feels guilty for not taking Phyllis seriously. Maybe she married Jeremy for protection and he double-crossed her.
Ashley doesn’t mind what she’s hearing – Tucker may continue. He plays with her fingers and kisses her neck as he opines that Ashley will let her guard down and eventually give in to what she really wants – us. Sorry – nice story but she’s not there yet. Tucker must prove himself. Instead, he buries his head in a cushion.
Diane doesn’t want to cause conflict between Kyle and Summer. She’s grateful that her son and Jack stand solidly behind her.
If Billy just came by to spread gossip, he can leave. Jack insists that he’s fine and more determined than ever to marry Diane. He’ll protect her from Stark!
Daniel’s intrigued by Summer’s theory that Jeremy double-crossed Mom and then Diane double-crossed him. Diane came to town and took over Mom’s entire life. She tried to tell me how dangerous Diane was and I didn’t listen, Summer blames herself and vows that the truth WILL come out. I’ll make sure of it!
