Diane apologizes for the ugly scene upstairs – then tells Jack and Kyle how Phyllis tricked her. I text you. Kyle admits that he lost his phone – again.
Audra asks Ashley and Tucker if they know who this phone belongs to (it keeps ringing) Ashley recognizes her nephew Kyle’s phone. Audra won’t give it up – she’s been looking for a reason to make Kyle’s acquaintance. Ashley does not trust that woman.
The Baldwins and Traci are laughing with Danny and Gina when Leanna Love comes over sniffing for a story. Gina would like to know what’s going on between Daniel and Lily – she can see the sparks from here.
Lily and Daniel are happy to have each other’s back. They seem about to kiss when Danny comes over to borrow his son for a minute.

Audra introduces herself to Kyle and returns his phone. Summer marches over to say that she knows who Audra is – the woman who emotionally destroyed her brother, Noah. Thanks for the phone. Audra takes the hint. Now that they see that Diane did indeed text Kyle, it’s time for Jack to make a ‘fun’ announcement. As the guests file back into the lounge, Jack realizes he doesn’t have the ring.
Upstairs, Jeremy praises Phyllis’ performance. He managed to steal the ring from Jack’s pocket. Stunning, isn’t it? Yes, Phyllis is ready for the hardest part of their plan – there’s no turning back now.
Jack’s distracted from the missing ring when Gina and Traci come over to guess what their announcement is. Both are happy for him and Diane – don’t let anything stand in your way. The happy couple decides that they don’t need the ring to announce their engagement.
Back in the patio, Chelsea describes how anxious she was at the party. Billy jokes – you don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. We’ll figure it out together. Oh, how they’ve both changed for the better.
Danny’s worried about what’s going on between Daniel and Lily. Focus on the project and your own foundation, he advises.
Daniel gently tells his Dad to mind his own business. What do I know anyway? When Gina comes along, Danny has more advice – accept your Mom for who she is. Gina changes the subject by asking to see photos of Lucy.
Abby doesn’t need to stick around for Jack’s announcement. She’ll know soon enough – news travels fast. It sure does, Amanda and her attitude appear on the red carpet.
Jack’s speech begins with mention of the Abbott’s living in GC for generations. We share a humanity – loves and losses – we choose to live in this town together, he chokes up as all applaud. Cracking a few jokes, he announces that he loves Diane and will marry her. Victor and Nikki are not clapping.

Nick again asks Sally if she’s OK. Commenting that Jack and Diane share ‘real love’, she looks over at Adam (who raises a glass at them)
Victor’s sure Jack and Diane will blow up in spectacular fashion. Nikki’s unimpressed that they stole the show. Speaking of stealing the show, Phyllis returns to the party hooting and hollering – let’s hear it for love. The future Mr and Mrs Jack Abbott. When she does a slow golf clap, Mike leads the guests in more sincere applause.
