Diane comes down to join Jack and compliment Kyle and Summer (who don’t look thrilled that they plan to announce their engagement tonight)
Near tears, Devon puts a framed photo of Neil back when Abby comes in. He updates that the case isn’t going well. Jill interrupted to tell him and Lily that she plans to kill the IPO. This could change everything, Abby’s hopeful.
Interesting, Adam can see that Nate feels very strongly about McCall, or defending his boss. Both, Nate claims. Are you two going to the gala together? Elena’s obviously going, Nate walks Vikki out through the patio. Save me a dance, Adam calls after them. Hearing that Sharon’s going to the gala by herself he has an idea.
On the red carpet, Ashley and Tucker field questions as the cameras furiously click.
Devon can’t trust Jill and Lily to keep their word about going public. Abby relays her run-in with Amanda. She was calm. Devon doesn’t feel like going to the gala. Abby insists – something special’s happening tonight. Trust me – you’re gonna want to be there.
Sally could stay in bed with Nick forever – but we have to get ready for the party of the year.
Adam suggests he and Sharon go to the gala together. Whaddaya say? Sharon could use some arm candy. It’ll be fun, Adam’s cheerful.
Summer implores Jack and Diane not to announce their engagement tonight. Mom won’t take it well. But since she’s conspiring with Stark, go ahead. Kyle agrees – go for it. Summer and Kyle go upstairs to tuck Harrison in (we may be a while)
Abby and Devon take their turn on the red carpet. He’s representing his father and grandmother. Abby mentions her family. When Jill arrives with Lily and Daniel, the photographers get them to pose for a group photo. It’s gonna be one of those nights, Jill says through her teeth.
Inside, Devon has a batman mask on, Abby (like many others) is carrying around a mask-on-a-stick. Daniel and Lily come inside to say they won’t talk about Devon. It’s champagne time. Devon takes his mask off to glare at Lily (who turns her nose up as she covers her face)
Well, well, well, Victor stops by to say he hopes he’s interrupting something. He asks Ashley about buying Tucker’s debt – hard to fathom that they’re here together.
Jill gives up the spotlight when Nick arrives with Sally. When asked to comment, he says a few words about loving GC. Adam arrives with a smiling Sharon on his arm.
Jack puts the ring on Diane’s finger. She will cherish him and this symbol of their love for the rest of her life. They look forward to announcing their engagement ~kiss~
