Audra can still be Tucker’s secret weapon; your friendly conduit. I can bring and receive info – she can help Tucker but is in it for herself. Tucker McCall is actually in love, she teases.
At Society, Ashley gives Abby the ole ‘it’s complicated’. Just when she thought Tucker may have changed, she learned that he was after the company(s) He wanted to buy two powerhouses to bring the businesses and families together. Tucker told Devon the same thing, Abby recalls. Hell no! Ashley won’t take his word for it.
Lily’s encouraging Daniel to go ahead with the project when Chelsea comes in to say that she’s read about his gaming platform. What if it could help people struggling emotionally? She’d like to pick Daniel’s brain (unless it’s a bad time)e The timing couldn’t be better for Daniel (Lily not so much)
You think Tucker’s being sincere. He’s a habitual liar. Abby gets the feeling her Mom’s about to give him another chance. I did a thing, Ashley’s vague – the ball’s in his court. If it works out the way she hopes it’ll be good for everyone involved.
Jealous? No – Audra thinks Tucker’s less of a catch since he’s deep in debt and at the mercy of whoever’s controlling his purse strings. Everything you had is gone. My legend will live on, Tucker’s unconcerned and thinks it time for Audra go. I may have taught you most of what you know but not everything I know. Keep telling yourself that, Audra marches out.
Over wine, Devon informs Abby that he ran into Lily and Nate (who’s trying to play mediator) Lily’s determined to go to war. She and Jill could end it by selling me my company back. They won’t change their mind on the IPO either; despite Tucker planting a mole at CW. Abby’s relays her Mom’s belief that his plan wasn’t driven entirely by greed.
Vikki’s plan is to make Tucker an offer he can’t refuse. She’ll have Mike look into who bought his debt. Nate chides her for being impatient. Using her sexy voice, Vikki declares power as important to her as money, if not more so. They kiss.
Chelsea tells Lily and Daniel that she was in a dark place – she hurt someone; he forgave me. He died and the world became a much darker place. She did a podcast with a friend; it gave her purpose – that suddenly ended too. Then there was the whole Johnny thing. Someone talked her off a ledge. Perhaps Daniel could use his platform to help people too scared to reach out for help. Lily thinks it a big idea – are you ready to take something like this on?
Abby had an interesting conversation with her Mom. She’s smart and not easily fooled. Tucker said he wanted to run a company with her (and Devon) His methods get in the way of his good intentions. No, Devon doesn’t mind that Abby told her Mom that he’s taking Lily to court (and why)
Tucker’s delighted when Ashley drop by. Vikki’s been blowing up his phone. He wants to know what Ashleys plan is before returning her call.
Audra arrives at Newman and is busy on her phone as she gets to the office door. Inside, Nate and Vikki are getting hot and heavy.
Did I interrupt something? Audra asks. We were just talking about you, Nate wonders if she got any information out of Tucker?
Chelsea pitches her idea ‘off the cuff’. Gaming consists of different levels – the player starts at the top but isn’t equiped for what the world throws at her – along the way she’s given tools – she learns coping mechanisms – floor by floor she emerges stronger than ever to come through the front door stronger than ever. Whaddaya think? Daniel can see the world Chelsea wants to create – and the potential. I have a background in design, she adds. Daniel now has a million ideas going through his head – this game could expand the scope of the platform. Lily’s silent.
She and Devon are ‘close’ but Abby doesn’t feel the need to define what they are to each other. After we get through this we’ll figure out the rest. Pleased with the answer, Devon kisses her hand.
Are you going crazy not being in control? Ashley teases Tucker. A little bit, he pours drinks. Yes, he’s ready to divest himself from McCall Unlimited; for the right price. What about for the right reason? You wanted to reconcile with Devon, she reminds. Prove it. Don’t sell to Newman, sell McCall Unlimited to your son.
