Back at TGP, Heather demands Lucy’s phone so she can spend a few minutes with her father while she goes back to the suite. Quietly thanking her, Daniel’s now alone with his sullen teenage daughter.
Daniel tries to get Lucy to open up – you don’t seem ‘fine’. Are you feeling uncomfortable or unsure? That’s a pretty bracelet but he thought her favourite colour was pink. It’s now sage green. Whose favourite colour is blue? Daniel asks. Lucy’s reply – it’s yours.
Kyle admitted your plan – the ends didn’t justify the means. Adam’s not mad but wonders what phase 2 of Victor’s plan is.
Summer can hear the regret in Kyle’s voice – but would he be regretful if he didn’t get caught? Adam could have been fired and Victor would have given the textile mills to Marchetti without anyone knowing. You went around me – like I couldn’t be trusted. She hears his apology but sweeping this under the rug means it’ll happen again in the future.
Look at you two, so cozy, Jeremy stuns Jack and Diane. Did you break out of jail? Diane yelps. Of course not, Jeremy’s lawyers were able to beat the ludicrous charges against him. May I join you? No, you may NOT, Jack demands to know what Jeremy wants.
After some back and forth with Diane, Jeremy gets back to Jack’s question – it’s not money or revenge (though both would be understandable) He came back to GC to say ‘bravo’ to Diane – you are exceptional. That’s twice you’ve put one over on me and that rarely happens. Don’t underestimate this one, Jeremy smiles at Jack – it’s a fatal mistake. He’ll leave them too it but plans to stick around town – have a good day. Outside, Jeremy asks how it looked from Phyllis’ vantage point. Why are you here? she asks. Jeremy sees himself in Phyllis – you live for the game the same way I do. You’re deranged, she stomps off.
You’re the love of my life, Kyle admits he’s been selfish. This Adam chapter is over, he begs Summer to forgive him. We can do better. I can do better.
Adam guesses that phase 2 of Victor’s plan is to have him come crawling back. Yes, Victor feels he’s the only one who can unleash Adam’s potential. What kind of challenge are you thinking of giving me?
Daniel loves that Lucy remembers that his favourite colour is blue. I missed you when we first moved to Portugal; the Dad you used to be. She couldn’t talk to her friends in boarding school about him. A lot of people love you, Daniel says. But there’s only one you, Lucy bought the bracelet because it reminder her of her Dad – it reminded her that once upon a time, she had a Dad who loved her.
Coming over to sit beside Lucy, Daniel apologizes – he’s working towards being a Dad that she can be proud of. He admits that he only thought about himself; he lost sight of how much she and Heather man to him (something he’ll regret for the rest of his life) In tears, Lucy expresses how much she missed her Dad. Giving him the bracelet, she hopes next time things get tough, he won’t forget he has a daughter.
Summer can’t just ignore that fact that Kyle betrayed her. Be patient with me, she needs time. I love you so much. I love you too. With a brief kiss, she leaves him looking glum.
Victor declares his son a genius – he’s glad he’s out of Jabot. You only worked there to piss me off. Now we can fix what’s broken between us. I want you to work with me. You’re always welcome in our family and my company. It’s nice to know there’s a spot for me, Adam will accept the generous offer on one condition. Give me Vikki’s job and I’m all yours.
He can’t hurt us, Jack says. Yes, he can, Diane panics. Jeremy’s not the kind of person to let bygones be bygones. He was right about one thing, Jack says – not to underestimate you. He vows to find a way to get rid of Jeremy, for good this time.
Next Week: Vikki has bad news for Victor – we won’t have a chance to make a move on Tucker’s company – someone’s beat us to the punch! …. As if you would ever consider hiring me as your co CEO, Billy scoffs. You know what? If you sincerely wanted it, I would, Jack claims …. OMG! The paternity tests results are in! Sally tells Nick.
