At Society, Nate hopes he’s not being too presumptuous by ordering two Old Fashioneds. No, Vikki approves – of just about everything he does. She then asks about his relationship with Elena – does she have an issue with you collaborating with someone encouraging you to embrace your killer instincts?
Ashley doesn’t trust Tucker. At all. There’s no way he’d walk away from his empire. You’re hoping to manipulate me! Tucker can’t defend his past actions.
In tears, Heather’s sorry – but Daniel did hear her right – his actions left lasting scars. Even if she can forgive him, she can’t forget – I want good things for you and hope you wish the same for me. I’ve met someone and fallen in love with another lawyer she met at work. Phyllis helped her see that it’s time to make the separation permanent.
At TGP, Jeremy tells Phyllis that he got out because evidence of the crime Jack and Diane committed was circumstantial, and he has good lawyers. What do you plan to do? she asks.
Heather can see that Daniel’s in a better place and turning his life around. But she and Lucy are his only motivation – I’ve been replaced? No, he refuses to believe she’s in love already. Heather assures Daniel that it’s over. Taking his hand, she wants them both to move on with their lives.
Tucker asks Ashley for a few days. Why? You’re stalling – playing games? Ashley believes he’s working an angle. Your promises are meaningless. There is no ‘us’. Tucker understands – he’s been an opportunist, a failure. He pleads for an opportunity. Unable to make any promises, Ashley clip clops out.
Phyllis believes Jeremy’s in town for revenge. No, she’s not afraid of him anymore – you’re all bark, no bite. Assuring that he has plenty of both, Jeremy sees, in Phyllis, a woman who’s reached her breaking point.
Elena’s choosing to support Nate’s career and he doesn’t bring work home. Vikki thinks it wise not to share what happens at work with their significant others. He flashes back to the kiss. Everything’s going well for us, Nate believes Elena’s come to accept him working at Newman but wouldn’t go so far as to say that he’s found the ‘sweet spot’ in balancing work and home life. Vikki couldn’t look happier.
Startled by Ally, Ashley gives her a hug. How long will she be staying? She’s not sure now. Now? Has something happened that makes you want to leave???
Back in his suite, Tucker looks lonely as she finishes his wine and flashes back to recently happy times with Ashley.
You don’t know me, Phyllis points out. Jeremy knows it must be killing her that she wasn’t able to get rid of Diane. Tucker comes over to shake his hand – out of the clink and back at the scene of the crime, he jokes. We finally meet face to face, Jeremy’s friendly. Strange bedfellows, Tucker can see that whatever Jeremy was saying made an impact on Phyllis. I don’t want to be seen with you, Phyllis gets up. Jeremy follows – we have a lot to talk about; we have similar interests.
I’m fine, Ashley changes the subject. Ally can see that her eyes have glazed over as she raves about her new position at Jabot. No, I love your passion, Ashley loves Ally’s positive energy. We’re family, Ally encourages her to open up. Everything’s OK – this is something Ashley must deal with alone.
Yes, Lucy knows Heather’s new man. He’s good with her? Daniel knows he is – you wouldn’t be with him otherwise. She’s still affected by the turmoil that drove us away from you. Tell her that I’m doing a lot better, Daniel asks – then is stunned to hear that his 13 year old daughter is right down the hall. You can tell her yourself.
