Nate thanks Victor and Mike for letting him sit in on the meeting – it’s been enlightening. Victor thanks him for his input. As he and Vikki step out, Mike comments that she has a lot of trust in Nate. I know, Victor replies. In the hallway, Nate appreciates working at a place where his ideas won’t be shut down. He’ll move forward with Audra but with caution. I’d expect nothing less, Vikki practically salivates as she watches him walk away.
Over more coffee, Daniel and Chance bond over their differences. At least you don’t have to work with your family, Daniel does indeed love his Mom (even though he’s mad at her)
As Sally sits silently on the sofa, Nick talks to Jill via videochat. He knows that his father put a bug in her ear. He didn’t just put a bug in my ear – he sent me a 3 inch thick dossier! Sally and I are involved; Dad sent you the dossier to punish her, Nick adds. Jill ‘hates’ that Victor played her and respects Nick’s opinion. He wholeheartedly supports Sally’s business acumen. You’d be lucky to have her. Just hear Sally and Chloe out then decide for yourself, he implores.
Chloe’s summoned to the suite – Jill wants to hear their pitch right now. It’s Nick’s turn to sit by as the partners deliver. Jill’s impressed. Everyone’s happy.
Still at CL’s, Chance jokes about Jill sending him text messages. Daniel has other backers interested but wants to work with Lily. Everyone else seems to want to use him to further their own agendas.
When Audra arrives for work, Nate asks if she has any allegiance to Tucker. None – he tried to work me today, she calls him an egomaniac. He’s not ‘a man on top of the world’. I made it clear I want nothing to do with him. Nate wants her to reverse that. Your connection could be the advantage we need.
Chance heads back to the station. It’s nice to talk to someone else who’s rebuilding their life, they agree – let’s do it again. See you around.
Sally has many things to thank Nick for. You dazzled me today – impressing Jill on the spur of the moment. It was awesome to watch. You shook off what my Dad did to you. I’m proud of you – you were radiant, hot – it was pretty great to watch. Not brilliant? Mind blowing? she leans in to kiss him and remove his tie.
Nate hopes Audra hasn’t burned her bridges with Tucker. Certain moves are about to be made. Newman plans to acquire his debt. But it sounds like he’s not confiding in you anymore. Audra can fix that – Tucker never stays mad at me for long.
Mike wants it on the record that he’s on the fence about bringing Audra in. Victor and Vikki have faith in Nate. Once we own Tucker’s debt, we tighten the screws. Let the fireworks begin, Victor mumbles. All chuckle. Victor likes the way his daughter thinks – it’s a fitting slap in the man’s face for all the damage he’s done to the people I care about.
