Calling Kyle into his office, Jack doesn’t want to have another talk about Mom. Rumours are going around that Victor, with your help, plans to undermine Adam’s work here at Jabot. It doesn’t matter what I heard it. Tell me it’s not true.
Jack admits that Adam’s work’s slipping – but that’s none of Victor’s business and has nothing to do with you.
Back at Society, Summer’s heard all about what Victor wants Kyle to do. Please stop pressuring him – he wants no part of your plans for Adam.
At CL’s, Adam shares that Victor’s plan du jour is to sabotage his job at Jabot then welcome him back to Newman. The punchline is that he’s not really happy at Jabot. I don’t fit in there. He tells Chelsea that his Father’s methods are inappropriate but his instinct is spot on.
Back at TGP, Nikki tries to scare Diane (who’s not buying it – if you had any ‘proof’, you’d have used it before now) Nikki’s not buying it either; she knows Diane’s confidence is all an act.
Now it’s Kyle’s turn to blast Jack for going against the entire family – Adam shouldn’t be at Jabot. Cut him loose.
Still at CL’s, Adam continues to talk Chelsea’s ear off. He feels guilty about not doing as good a job as Jack deserves (for giving him this opportunity) Asked if he’d take a job at NE if Victor offered, Adam claims to have no desire to be sucked back in. Chelsea suggests that Victor might really feel that Adam belongs at Newman. She knows Victor’s is the only opinion who matters to him.
When Billy brings to boys into CL’s, Adam’s the only one not amused by the half-brothers instant rapour – and how pleased Billy and Chelsea are about it.
