Billy changes the subject to Jack reconciling with Diane – he believes in second chances, sometimes third chances. Chelsea thanks him – this is just what I needed.
Jack tells Diane all about The Teardrop of Love Necklace; he was able to track it down after she lost decades ago. Each of them inherited a piece – Jack’s wearing the cufflinks. Legend states that whoever wore the gem found love. Maybe the Teardrop of Love brought this captivating, gorgeous woman back into his life. Both laugh through tears. Maybe it’s time to decide where things go next with us, Jack suggests.
Sally shares her concerns – we were going to take things slow. I have to get this right. Nick’s not sure what she means – what do we have to get right. No baby could have a better Father, that’s all that matters, Sally initiates a passionate kiss.
Diane prefers to live in the present – be grateful for every day with Jack. OK, he’ll do the planning. What we have is special, he sees worldwide travel. All Diane wants is meals with the Abbotts, picnics on the lake – everything she missed while she was away. I want this moment. I feel worthy and wanted and safe, she sniffles ~kiss~
Back at the apartment. Chelsea invites Billy in for tea. I’m OK, don’t worry about me. I lean on you too, Billy admits – it’s just nice to be here. He believes it a gift to have seen into Chelsea’s soul.
Nate’s secret weapon is Audra – she’s still tight with Tucker and was the one who tipped him off to Omegasphere. He’s impressed to hear that Vikki’s already talked to her Dad about using Audra – great minds, they clink glasses again. She’s on our side, Nate’s sure – but understands why Vikki’s hesitant to trust Audra. They continue to bond over booze – and then a kiss.
We’ve earned this – we deserve this, Jack insists – he knows the sacrifices Diane made to come back to him and Kyle and doesn’t want to waste a moment of this ~kiss~
Ending the kiss, Vikki leaps back into business – good job on the ideas. Equally awkward, Nate has another sip. Both are ‘feeling it’. Vikki stands – she’ll leave the booze. We’ll finish it some other time – the bottle, she clarifies before hurrying out, humiliated.
Chelsea’s seen Billy’s soul too – I know who you are. It brings me comfort. Her peck on the cheek leaves Billy looking like he wants more.
In bed, Sally suddenly sits up. You’ve got nothing to worry about, Nick again asks what’s troubling her. Adam could be the Father, she stuns him.
Looking all alone and out of sorts, Adam has a drink at TGP.
