Sally and Chloe manage to give Adam the impression that something’s changed – why else would they be speculating on what a reunion might look like?
Back at Jabot, Jack understands that Kyle’s forgiven his Mother but can’t forget (that she left him) He regrets the time he didn’t spend with Dina. It’s very early – your Mother and I are happy. Kyle wants them to be happy. Jack reassures his son that if things don’t work out between him and Diane, they’ll always be family.
At the house, Mama Bear, Summer, gives Diane a not so subtle warning – if someone hurts Kyle or Harrison …..
Nothing’s changed, Sally sets Adam straight. And when Sally’s phone pings, Chloe assumes it’s Nick – he’s so sweet. Sending Adam on his way, Sally’s not sure how she’ll manage 9 months of this. What will he think when I start showing? she hisses at Chloe.
Dropping by the house, Phyllis tells Summer that she’s going to Portugal to speak to Heather. Don’t tell Daniel. I’ve got to make this right.
On the patio, Daniel thinks this is a blip in the road compared to fighting cancer. She looks forward to Omegasphere making them all rich. Can it be ready this afternoon? Daniel gallantly tells her not to back his project if it’s not what’s best for CW.
Chloe and Sally agree that the longer they can keep Adam in the dark the better. He’s so suspicious. When Nick comes in to give Sally a welcome home kiss, Adam watches.
Vikki asks what she walked in on. Victor wants Sally to get the hell out of town. She’s trying to latch on to one of your brothers, for money. Victor’s astounded that Nick threatened to leave the company and family over Sally – she’s just a fling – why would he say that? There’s something going on. Vikki suggests they let Nick live his life – don’t drive him away.
Nick and Sally are at Society for sparkling cider. She assumes someone told Jill about her past. Nick invites her to bring her pitch to Newman. It’s not good for you to get stressed, you know what I’m talking about. Sally does. Adam’s lurking at the bar.
Lily wants Omegasphere and asks Daniel to give her one week. You have to trust me. Daniel does, more than anyone. Lily needed to hear that more than she even knew.
Phyllis is 100% sure she can convince Heather to take Daniel back. Summer isn’t sure it’s a good idea – he won’t be happy about it. He won’t know – you can’t tell him. If anyone asks, I’m in Florida. Don’t let Daniel sell to Tucker. And with ‘I love you’s’, Phyllis leaves Summer looking worried.
Vikki changes the subject – she dug into Tucker’s finances; he’s late and missing payments. We buy up his debt and own him. Victor loves that; he couldn’t be prouder.
Ah, just the man I want to see. Tucker wants to buy Daniel a drink and tell him why he should come over to Tucker McCall.
On the patio, Lily thinks about calling Devon (and looks devastated)
Diane and Jack compare notes – Kyle worries that if things don’t work between us, you’ll leave again. Near tears, Diane wonders if they should slow down. Whatever happens they’ll both be there for Kyle. They kiss and hug.
When Sally steps away to take a call, Nick goes over to the bar to give Adam the heads up – Dad thinks he can win you back; the company and the family. I think he’s gonna sabotage your work at Jabot. Why would you tell me any of this? Adam wonders. Nick’s just trying to help. But no, he doesn’t want him back at Newman. Ending her call with her doctor, Sally turns around to see Nick and Adam side by side looking at her.
