Chelsea’s sorry Billy’s paying the price for helping her – take Lily flowers. This isn’t about spending too much time with you, Billy orders Chelsea to get that idea out of her head. It’s because of who I am – self-centered, restless; always in need of the next best thing. Chelsea won’t let Billy tear himself down – you and Lily are great together – are you really willing to give up?
Back at Society, Nick noticed that Lily didn’t mention Billy when talking about her holidays. He has a good sense of how challenging it is to be with Billy because he had a front-row seat to his relationship with Vikki. If you could use someone to talk to, he offers.
Mariah knows they might not get this child but each step brings them closer to having their baby. After sending the hopeful couple off, Sharon thanks Chris (and eludes to her helping with Cassie’s adoption so many years ago) Joining Danny on the patio, Chris thanks him for waiting.
Chris and Danny catch up; she mostly does pro bono work now. He enjoys touring; Gina joins him onstage sometimes – he spent Thanksgiving with her – Christmas with Daniel. Chris and Paul heard what happened from Heather. She knew Danny was in town because Phyllis tagged him in a photo online – saying that Danny’s spending time with the people he loves the most. Chris sounds jealous – she hadn’t realized he and Phyllis had stayed in such close touch over the years.
Chelsea knows Billy’s feeling defeated and scared but you’re relentless when you want something. Lily wants some time apart, Billy’s been dumped. Go find her and make things right – you gave me a second chance, now go get yours.
Lily thanks Nick but doesn’t need his ear. Both are glad they chatted. Nick’s impressed that she leads CW with integrity. I’m proud of you. That means a lot to Lily. Wish each other the best in this new year, Nick leaves Lily to read an incoming text – can we meet?
Danny explains that he and Phyllis aren’t close. We’re co-parents and grandparents. Chris is still bitter about the way Phyllis injected herself into their lives. Danny often wonders ‘what if’ she hadn’t but then wouldn’t have Daniel and Lucy. She almost cost me my life! Chris continues. Danny takes her hand – he’s sorry for the pain Phyllis caused. You’re victim too, Chris is just glad they were both able to move on and find happiness, if not together. She and Paul are married 10 years now but are hardly a ‘power couple’. Danny’s dating someone but it’s just casual. His life is full but there’s always room for friend. Chris nods.
Nate knows Vikki’s son will always love and respect her – you’re understanding and forgiving and don’t miss a trick. Give Johnny some space – independence. She appreciates the advice – it really helped, Vikki’s near tears.
Lily meets Billy at Society. He knows she asked for space but really wanted to see her – thanks for coming.I’ll fight for you, for us and everything we have, he vows.
Danny invites Chris and Paul to the concert in Chicago that the Baldwins and Traci are coming to. She’d love that.
Vikki reads a text from Chelsea – Can I take Connor and Johnny for pizza this week? She immediately replies that he has too much homework but changes her mind – We’ll find a night that works, she hits send.
Billy knows he let Lily down but asks for one more chance. Lily’s still hurt lack by his lack of effort – like my feelings didn’t matter to you. Billy’s so sorry and will do whatever it takes – couples therapy – he wants to fight for Lily with all his heart. Lily agrees – we owe it to ourselves to try hold hands.
