Upstairs, Adam asks Chelsea why she’s not smiling anymore. She’s feeling her feelings instead of suppressing them – making amends; with Sharon, now, it’s your turn. Adam doesn’t need an apology – I put you through hell. Chelsea’s giving him one anyway.
Jack and Summer must be careful – no one can find out where Diane is (including Harrison, Daniel and especially Phyllis, Nikki and Ashley) Summer gets it. On cue, Phyllis walks in. What do you want? Jack snaps.
Informed that Jack and Summer aren’t working on anything related to Marchetti Home, Phyllis asks where Diane is? She’s gone – you succeeded – she left town, Jack grimaces. Phyllis is glad she finally did the right thing; but it had nothing to do with me. Someone who sounded like you called Stark, Jack concludes – You won – she’s gone. I hope it was worth it, he leaves Summer to frown at her Mom.
Chelsea delivers another apology that Adam doesn’t feel is necessary; we’ve put our issues behind us. Emotions, what are those? he chuckles before also accepting her apology. Next up Billy – that will be the most difficult one, she sighs.
Lily isn’t threatened by Chelsea. This is about more than support and friendship – this is a new high for you. Like gambling, but with Chelsea’s recovery. She’s worried where this might go. Ridiculous, Billy scoffs. Lily’s concerned about him and can’t do this anymore. When he gets a text, she frowns – Billy to the rescue again.
Billy will look at the text later. We’re having an important conversation. No, Lily doesn’t want to be blamed if it’s an emergency. She’s done anyway. He has more to say. Go – like you always do when Chelsea reaches out. Fine, Billy marches out.
Back downstairs, Nikki thanks Ashley for letting her say hello to Harrison. Don’t feel bad about him asking for his DD; we prevented a lot of pain down the road. I guess I won’t be seeing you as often now. It’s nice to know we can work together if need be. Coming home on the touching moment, Jack guesses they’re celebrating; where’s the sparkling cider?
Phyllis hopes Summer isn’t angry, like Jack. Diane CHOSE to leave town. Because YOU brought that criminal to our doorstep! Summer adds. You said you saw the light and that Diane needed to be stopped, Phyllis seems truly baffled. Summer didn’t like Diane’s lies but YOU brought danger into our lives. That’s indefensible, she storms out. Phyllis turns and gasps – Mr Stark; you.. you got past security again. I can be very persuasive, he looks menacing.
Daniel’s also glad to bump into Lily at Society. Coffee? Looks more like you could use a shot of tequila. Lily doesn’t want to talk about it – raincheck? You can tell me anything, he persists.
Thanking Billy for coming, Chelsea again wants to make amends. It’s hard but therapeutic. You’re next on my list. It’ll be a difficult conversation. I knew you before anyone else in GC. I don’t know how I’ll find the words, she hedges.
It’s not that big a loss, is it? Nikki has the bad sense to ask. Ask her grandson or son, Jack glowers. You broke their hearts – good for you. Diane left to protect us from a criminal!
Jeremy’s looking for Diane. She’s not here, Phyllis is NOT her friend. She didn’t stay in her suite last night, Jeremy knows she was the one who called him. Let’s go where we can speak more privately.
