At the ranch, Tucker greets GC’s ‘grand dame’. Oh no, the only grande dame of GC was your Mother, Nikki corrects. This isn’t a social call; there’ll be no tea. Tucker snickers when Talia Morgan joins them.
At CL’s, Phyllis tells Lauren that this is the best time to get rid of Diane (because Kyle’s enjoying ‘wedded bliss’) Lauren’s not so sure – Kyle seems to be buying his Mother’s act.
I defended you! Jack’s frustrated. Hear me out before you pass judgment, Diane sits to explain that she found someone to get her ID; to assume the life of a dead woman. Tell me what you did! Jack’s tired of excuses.
‘Taylor Jensen’ met handsome and charming Jeremy Stark. Flashback to the LA rooftop restaurant. He was kind and gentle – I fell hard. He was a wealthy jetsetter, my type, Diane ropes Jack in.
Nikki leaves Talia to take out her notepad and pen. But, while he jokes about billionaires rocketing themselves into space, she’s all serious – why do you suppose Nikki wants me to do a profile of you?
Tucker doesn’t want to talk about the past, he’d rather discuss what he’s doing now. Fine, why are you divesting yourself/liquidating your assets? Talia asks if he’s about to make a ‘major move’.
Phyllis is sure Jack’s just being polite to Diane – he’s beginning to see through her. She overheard him say that his suspicions have been reignited. He needs a little nudge, she tells Lauren.
With the aid of flashbacks, Diane’s story continues. Jeremy flew all over the world making deals. He arranged everything – even packed new clothes that his assistant went shopping for. For first time, Diane felt taken care of. And, that was his trick.
Diane never flew with Jeremy – she always met him. Turns out he was using her as a mule. Not drugs – cash (which she found packed in her suitcase) She followed Jeremy to a bank in Barbados but waited to confront him in LA. Told that the relationship’s over, Jeremy reveals that he knows who Diane is, and her ‘deceased’ status. And so, she was trapped.
Lauren’s worried about Phyllis’ plan backfiring with Jack. Is this the best way to handle it? It’s the only way, Phyllis is sure she’s doing the right thing.
