Yeah, it’s been one of those days for Nick and Nate. Let’s get a drink (makes sense since they’re at Society’s bar)
Embarrassed that she fell asleep while reading to Harrison, Diane comes down with her shoes in hand. Jack doesn’t think she’s intruding at all.
Nikki’s stressed over her missing charger (and her trip to LA) Victor calms her down with a slow dance.
In her suite, Sally’s flashing back to her romp with Nick when Adam again comes sniffing around.
Adam denies he followed Sally ‘home’ – can I come in for a nightcap? Just one. Sally reluctantly lets him in.
Slipping her shoes back on, Diane and Jack gush over their adorable grandson; he’s such a little stinker. Jack offers a drink. That would be lovely – after the day Diane’s had, a tea will relax her nerves.
Nick and Nate are both still dealing with the aftermath of Ashland. Sounding like he’s had a few drinks, Nate says he’s not weak ‘I’m ambitious’ – Ashland saw that – and there’s nothing wrong with that.
There’s nothing wrong with ambition as long as it doesn’t turn malicious, Nick says. Nate’s not sure what he’s supposed to be doing with his life. He’s questioning a lot of things right now. If things don’t work out at CW maybe you’ll end up at Newman one day, Nick predicts. Nate thinks things are going to turn around for him very soon.
Nikki’s talk with Vikki (about seeing Deacon) has caused her to worry. It’s not just me. I worry about ‘us’.
Impatient to get rid of Adam, Sally tells him she has a big day tomorrow. Adam knows he blew it – but I miss/love you and don’t want to let you go.
Running into Elena as he exits Society, Nick tells her that Nate’s going through something – good luck.
Inside, Elena’s surprised to hear that Nate quit. Devon doesn’t trust me – he wants me to be a team player but he doesn’t want me on his team, Nate sulks – Devon didn’t give me a choice.
Diane tells Jack that having Phyllis at Marchetti is ‘challenging’. Kyle and Summer shouldn’t have to worry about their mothers . Maybe this was a mistake.
