Stopping by the house to return Harrison’s toy, Diane quickly learns from Ally that Jack isn’t home. With another reminder that it’s because of her Ally even knows she’s an Abbott, Diane’s not selling Keemo’s house in LA; go visit anytime, she invites.
Phyllis believes his Mother’s deserving of a second chance – he wants a relationship with her and will do whatever’s necessary to protect his Mother. That’s a choice you and MY DAUGHTER will regret, Phyllis marches off before the tears spill.
On the patio, Nikki tells Summer that whatever job they’ve given Diane, she’s not qualified for. No, she will NOT forgive Diane – wherever that woman goes trouble follows. You’re playing into her hands – she’s like a snake that hypnotizes it’s prey before devouring it. Open Kyle’s eyes to who Diane really is.
Packing her bags, Ally talks about how kind and welcoming the Abbotts have been. Diane agrees – Summer’s side of the family isn’t as accepting. Despite Ally making it clear she wants to stay out of it, Diane rambles on about Phyllis. Be wary of her, she’ll use you to get what she wants.
Diane shows herself out when Traci returns. Did something happen? she can see that Ally’s mood’s changed. She feels that both Diane and Phyllis are buddying up to her to get info on Jack. They don’t scare me, she just wants to protect her grandfather. Traci’s left to smile when Ally heads off to Jabot.
Nikki’s sure Diane’s good behaviour won’t last – something will set her off soon and she’ll show her true colours. Summer would like to talk about something more positive – she and Kyle have so much planned for Marchetti.
Nick’s happy that New Hope will be in good hands. Seems like everyone’s where they’re supposed to be. Noah has to return a call. Be right back. Are you free? he sends a text to Ally.
Ally’s met Noah on the park. He tells her that his Dad’s asked him to take over running New Hope. That’s huge – but Ally can see he looks miserable.
On the CL’s patio, Nikki surprises Phyllis by asking for her input regarding Diane. She’s having someone investigate what she was doing in LA while ‘reinventing herself’. We need to prove to certain people that she can’t be trusted. Phyllis can’t sit quick enough – what can I do to help?? We’re on the same side, let’s pool our resources, Nikki suggests. No! You two don’t work together on anything, Summer protests. Nikki’s stunned to hear that Phyllis has a truce with ‘that woman’.
Noah finds the work at New Hope gratifying but it’s not his career path. He was going to tell them he was leaving when his Dad made his announcement. Then Faith shared her 5-year plan. Ally tells him to decline the job; it could be someone else’s dream job. Go pursue your passion, relentlessly. Noah just needs to find a way to tell his Dad. Are you thinking of leaving GC? Ally asks tentatively.
Now at CL’s, Faith’s still talking about her university classes. Sharon noticed that Noah seemed ambivalent about running New Hope. You’re overthinking it, Nick asks Faith (who says he’s an adult – he can say no)
Back in the park, Noah appreciates Ally’s confidence in him that he’ll make the right choice. He’d liked her help figuring it all out. Ally would like that, very much.
Are you telling me you’ve forgiven her!? Nikki’s appalled. It’s for me, to keep the peace, Summer explains. Nikki doesn’t understand how Phyllis can stand by and watch that woman worm her way into her daughter’s life. I know! That woman is evil! I can’t keep pretending she isn’t! Phyllis exclaims. Oh look – here’s Kyle. And he heard everything Phyllis said.
