At Society, Kyle asks his Dad if Diane had anything to do with him and Phyllis breaking up. My Mother was stirring the pot by inviting her over to the table the other night. Did she do something to sabotage you and Phyllis?
Jack’s only tell Kyle this so he won’t think his Mother’s to blame. Though they agreed to take things slow, Jack thought it was time to take things to the next level (but was still stuck in the friend-zone)
In the hotel lobby, Phyllis tells Summer that she regrets what she did – but that woman coming back … she pushes my buttons. Sometimes I feel like I’m losing control, she tears up.
Jack’s at the part of the story where he realized that Diane’s return was the reason Phyllis escalated things. Kyle doesn’t think Phyllis would use him like that – what did she do exactly? She made sure Diane saw what he thought was an intimate moment between them. Phyllis always reverts to type; she can’t help herself.
Phyllis blathers on – did I rub Diane’s nose in it? Yeah. Did I escalate things because Diane was in town? Yeah. But that doesn’t mean my feelings for Jack weren’t sincere. So, you were marking your territory, Summer summer-izes (summarizes, he he)
After some trash-talk, Ally and Noah tune in again to hear the mystery to be solved. Shhhh, she puts her finger on his lip. It appears they might kiss.
The best friend!!?? Noah and Ally are too stunned to kiss so go back to exchanging humourous insults.
Kyle’s sorry – if Phyllis still hates my Mother this much, are they headed for a showdown? If our Mothers go to war, what will happen to me and Summer? he frets to his Dad.
Phyllis IS sorry – her feelings for Jack ARE real. Diane smirks as she eavesdrops. Knowing Jack’s a wonderful man, Summer scold her Mom – he deserves better treatment than what you showed him.
