Now that Diana and Phyllis have a truce and are ‘family’, Diane’s at TGP to use the gym and spa. Phyllis refuses – oh, are you gonna tattle on me? On cue, Super Girl arrives to ask what the ‘peacemakers’ are up to. In light of Phyllis’ ‘generosity’, Diane’s decided to spend her ‘self-care’ money at TGP. What a nice gesture, Summer’s impressed. ‘TGP welcomes you with open arms’, Phyllis is forced to bend the knee.
At the house, Ally asks Jack if his offer of an internship at Jabot is still on the table (of course it is) She wants the position on her merit, not because of her DNA.
Kyle arrives at CL’s all excited about seeing Tessa in concert this weekend. Tessa moping silently beside her, Mariah’s sad to report that she has to have surgery to remove vocal cord nodules. She’ll have to postpone this show and her tour – indefinitely.
Tessa’s worried about her career; Mariah’s worried about Tessa’s health but full of optimism and support. She and Kyle are sure her fans will rally around her. Elena’s on her way over; she helped her Uncle recover from something similar. Adoption plans? On hold.
Jack’s pleased that Ally will be learning the family business and sticking around. When Noah drops by, he has a meeting to get to. Pausing at the door, Jack smiles when hearing Noah ask Ally how she feels about surprises.
Back at TGP, Summer’s happy to see that the truce is off to a good start. Suddenly having a cancellation, Phyllis will gift Diane with the ‘resurrection-rejuvenation’ treatment. Diane’s ‘dying’ to hear more. It’s like coming back from the dead, Phyllis informs. After Diane goes off to her massage, Summer asks her Mom ‘what the hell was that?’
Announcing his new job as CEO of Marchetti, Kyle reassures Mariah that he’s not really leaving Jabot. He’s glad to hear that she now finds Summer ‘likable’. Finally! She’s the love of my life.
Phyllis complains about The Princess of Passive Aggressive Behavior. The way Summer heard it, Diane wasn’t taking the bait. Hiring her was ‘the right thing to do’. Wow, Phyllis can now see that Summer and Kyle are buying Diane’s act – and so is Jack it seems.
Noah’s unearthed something exciting; an old radio mystery show. It’s not online, he had a friend copy it onto this mp3 player. Both put an earbud in. Let’s do this – let’s solve a crime.
Suspecting her Mom’s issues go beyond her history with Diane, Summer asks why she and Jack broke up. You told me you screwed up – what happened? She DID ask Jack; he says there’s nothing to tell. Phyllis can’t accept that Jack’s let Diane back into the family after everything that bitch did to her. Yet again, Summer asks ‘what happened?’
