Nick’s been summoned to CL’s by his parents. He hasn’t heard from Vikki again and worries she’ll know he broke her confidence.
Ashland returns to the suite to tell Vikki that he found a charming building; the sellers are motivated. Noticing that Vikki seems ‘off’, he wonders if she’s having second thoughts.
When Sally arrives at Society, Chloe invites her to sit – congrats on the new gig. Sometimes she wishes she had a ‘new calling’ too. Things not going as you hoped? Sally correctly guesses.
Chelsea drops by Adam’s office in need of his signature on a permission form for Connor – and to whine about Chloe. Are you sure everything’s alright? Adam’s concerned.
Chloe and Sally agree that Lauren’s an amazing boss – it’s clear that Chloe’s ‘challenge’ is her partner.
Chelsea continues to complain about Chloe – it’s no longer fun. Informed that Kyle and Summer asked her to design for Marchetti, Adam’s not convinced that Chelsea can handle it (as she claims)
Vikki would love a building downtown – we need to move quickly. Needing a name for the legal paperwork, they decide on ‘Destiny Media’. She’s already put her 250 million in an account, now it’s Ashland’s turn.
After Nick goes inside for a refill, Victor scolds Nikki for asking Mike to dig up dirt on Diane – he needs to focus on thwarting Vikki and Ashland’s plans to start up a new business.
Nick tells Sharon that he blabbed everything Vikki told him to his Dad – he’s blocking investors. Why would she put you in such an uncomfortable position? Sharon’s suspicious.
Vikki’s sent Ashland the bank account info so he can transfer his funds. We won’t have to answer to anyone. This is her ‘statement of a lifetime’.
Having seen Chloe’s ‘blow-up’ with Chelsea, Sally knows something major’s going on. Chloe defends her friend – she’s been emotional since Rey died. Sally wishes her the best and leaves.
Adam thinks Chelsea’s backsliding – you haven’t been yourself since Rey died. You need to deal with what’s bothering you; this isn’t sustainable.
Back on the CL’s patio, Nikki questions why Victor’s so calm about the situation with Vikki. Trust her like you trust me, Victor requests.
Ashland’s so grateful that Vikki trusts him again; that she followed her heart. I’ll never give you reason to doubt me again. Phone in hand, he’s ready to merge their fortunes.
Sally admires the bouquet of flowers on her desk, then reads the card. Shine brightly, kick ass, the best is yet to come – love, Adam.
Nick suspects Vikki was testing his loyalty. I’m either her or Dad’s pawn. Sharon believes his sister will come around. He again hints at interest in working at Newman.
Vikki has to meet with the lawyer – she’ll meet Ashland at the building later. The happiest man in the world leaves the happiest woman in the world to gasp at the half-billion in their joint account – which she’s about to transfer.
‘Transfer complete’, Vikki exhales.
Knowing Victor has a plan in motion, Nikki asks if it will work.
Sally likes Adam’s card – signed with the ‘L-word – but doesn’t like his plan (to scoop up a retail location) You need to shoot for the stars; buy the moon, Sally’s advice is appreciated.
Adam wishes Sally was his COO instead of Nikki. Speaking of, Sally wants Chloe to be her COO. Her partnership with Chelsea might be over. Adam does have an objection; Chloe hates me with every fibre of her being.
When Chelsea joins Chloe at Society, it doesn’t take long for the bickering to start. This isn’t working, Chloe’s ‘had it’.
A nervous Vikki picks up her phone…
