Still at the park, Chance’s silly faces make Dom laugh. Abby’s sorry when she mentions Devon being Dom’s biological Father. Chance isn’t secure anymore (but frowns over Abby’s shoulder)
Devon joins Nate and Lily to discuss progress on the event planning. Nate shares his great idea for music – have artists on our label perform. Devon’s annoyed – this is MY area of expertise. Nate’s sorry if he overstepped. It’s fine, you’re still learning. Imani eavesdrops.
Yes, Diane’s checking out. Kyle arrives to agree it’s probably for the best. Phyllis agrees – then is asked to excuse them. When Kyle asks her to stay in town, an ecstatic Diane hugs him. Phyllis is horrified.
Lily’s going out of town – Billy will cover her meeting tomorrow. After she leaves, Devon rebuffs Nate’s attempt to help him with work. He’s barely out the door when Imani comes over to work on Nate.
Chance has to work again late tonight; he’s been busy since Rey died. Abby’s free to look after Dom. It’s the two of us, she coos after Chance leaves the park.
Back at TGP, Kyle tells his Mother that he wants more time to see if she’s changed. He insists on paying for a suite at the GCAC. As Diane again hugs Kyle, Phyllis stares.
Imani sympathizes with Nate – things are sometimes tense between her and Amanda. They both grew up with loving parents whereas Amanda and Devon didn’t. Yes, he might still have a chip on his shoulder over the Elena thing. Imani’s sure things will be fine between him and Devon, and her and Amanda.
When Lily returns to Chancellor, Billy reports that their numbers are good – and Chance liked his podcast. Lily’s confused – and annoyed that Billy’s confiding his insecurities to his audience instead of her.
Meeting Summer at Society, Kyle announces that he’s putting his Mother up at the GCAC. Summer can just hear what her Mom will say. She knows and she’s not happy.
Phyllis marches into Jack’s asking him to talk her off the ledge before she loses her mind.
Billy explains that his podcast is effective therapy. Lily’s hurt – and is telling Billy because that’s what people in a relationship do. Lily hopes he’s OK covering her while she’s out of town. Billy’s up to it.
Kyle thinks it might help if Summer tells her Mom that they might be staying in GC. She’s probably freaking out right now, Summer guesses.
Phyllis thought Kyle was smarter than this! We were idiots. I won’t calm down! This is a disaster waiting to happen. Jack’s sure Kyle didn’t make this decision lightly – and what do you think Diane will do? Phyllis says that things are finally going well between her and Jack. Everything’s good – right??? Jack swears that Diane won’t come between them. Phyllis thanks him with a kiss – and leads him upstairs.
