After burning his hand trying to open Vikki’s door, Ashland uses his jacket as an oven mitt. Thank God you’re still alive! he throws her limp body over his shoulder. I’m not gonna let you die! he trudges off.
Sharon leaves a message for Rey – love you. She tells Chelsea that he’s probably driving super cautiously because of the fog. Chelsea detects that Sharon doesn’t believe that.
Bursting through the door of a proverbial cabin in the woods, Ashland lays Vikki on a conveniently placed bed and is relieved when he coaxes a cough out of her. Get away from me! she awakens in a panic.
Disgruntled that his family isn’t updating him, Adam lashes out at Sally unprovoked. Of COURSE he’s worried about Vikki. You think I want something to happen to her so I can get my hands on Newman Locke!?
Wrapping his hand, Ashland tells Vikki to stay still while he goes to find her phone. I’ll be back as quick as I can.
Nick joins his parents at Society. He wasn’t able to find Vikki and the fog’s too bad for Nikki to be on the road. Victor blames himself for ending the tail on Vikki and is PISSED when his security guy calls to say he doesn’t know where she or Ashland is.
Help! Vikki cries weakly. Ashland runs back in to say that the flames were too bad to retrieve her phone. What are you not telling me? she wants to know.
Sharon relays to Chelsea that Vikki may have been in an accident. Maybe Rey’s there making sure everyone’s OK. Both hope Vikki’s alright.
Ashland’s just shaken and grateful that Vikki’s OK. NO! he didn’t run her off the road – but he was following her (because he loves, and was worried about her)
This is a mistake! Sally jumps up to leave; hurt that Adam thinks her so cold and calculated about a woman’s life. You don’t know me at all! Adam’s sorry – his comment was cruel. The truth is, he’s not sure if he’s genuinely concerned about his sister or thinking that if something happened to her, he’d benefit at Newman Locke.
What are you hiding from me? Vikki struggles to sit upright. Lay down, rest, Ashland avoids the question. Vikki’s memory returns. OMG – there was another (third) car!
Happy when Chance drops by, Sharon asks if any accidents have been reported – involving Vikki Newman? As he makes a call, Chelsea looks at Sharon from the patio.
Vikki knows there was another car. I was on the phone with my Mother – on speaker. Lights coming towards me. You swerved to avoid the car, Ashland fills in the gaps. I pulled you out of your car, he concludes. Noticing that his hand’s burned, Vikki softens – you risked your life to save mine.
Adam hates that the thought popped into his head; the ramifications if Vikki was severely injured. He only came up with his plan to impress his Father and seize an opportunity. Sally knows Adam’s not cold or selfish – I wouldn’t be falling in love with someone like that. You’re falling in love with me?? Adam’s surprised.
Nick’s not surprised his Dad’s guy lost Ashland (it’s foggy, we’re yet again reminded) Getting a call, Victor announces that there’s been an accident. Oh God, No! Nikki gasps.
The last time this happened, Ashland turned and ran – leaving his best friend to die in a burning car. I had to save you! When Vikki keeps asking about the other car, he sees no reason for her to worry about the other driver. Is the other driver OK!? she’s now agitated.
Connor complains to his Mom – we’re going to miss the game. Rey will make it up to you – that’s the kind of guy he is, Chelsea consoles him.
Ashland tells Vikki that the other car suffered more damage. And the driver? There was nothing I could do – the other driver didn’t make it.
Sharon’s relieved when Chance reports that there’s been no major accidents reported. When he spoke to Rey, he’d just grabbed the tickets; he should have been here by now.
Vikki’s distraught by the news. It was someone you know, Ashland’s sorry to say – Rey Rosales. OMG! Vikki yelps.
** I’ll check on Winston tonight and post an update tomorrow. Much thanks to all who donated!!
