Hoping he didn’t come on too strong, Nick leaves. Nikki goes to the board table to do some work while Victor will stay put behind Vikki’s desk and wait for her to come back.
Sally thinks he handled Ashland masterfully. Oh, look who’s here, they spot Vikki at Society’s bar. While Sally gets them a table, Adam goes over to ask Vikki if she knows why Ashland hasn’t taken the bait and put files on his computer yet. There might be a change of plans, she replies.
Jack’s first instinct was to reject Diane’s request – Phyllis convinced him otherwise. Phyllis!? Yes, and he’s grateful she flew out to keep him ‘grounded’.
Amanda claims to be convinced (but isn’t) that Phyllis and Jack are only friends. There is something very important we have to do.
Adam’s angry to hear that Vikki’s changing the plan. You screwed it up, didn’t you? I told Dad it wouldn’t work. Lemme guess, Ashland’s on to you and backing off. Full of hatred, Vikki tells Adam that he’s a failure because of who he is (then marches out)
Nikki listens without a word when Ashland comes to the office to talk about the offer – is it legit? Why wouldn’t it be legit? Victor asks. Because it’s a lot of money. Ashland thinks it was cold of Victor to have Adam offer the same amount he was forced to award his other kids. Victor chortles – are you going to take the 500 million and get out of town?
Adam updates Sally that Vikki’s plan’s a mess. That’s why he came up with an alternate plan. How will your Dad react to the offer you made Ashland? If the offer’s accepted, he’ll be fine with it. If the offer’s rejected, Victor won’t know.
Ashland’s not rushing into this decision. He thought Adam might be acting on his own. You think he’d come up with that amount on his own? Victor’s amused. When Vikki returns to the office, Ashland wastes no time blabbing that he’s been offered a lot of money to leave. I’ve hurt you enough. Maybe we should both just move on. Vikki looks devastated.
Traci’s glad Phyllis was there to support Jack. He knows Diane will tell Kyle if he doesn’t. Jack must tell him everything. No one wants her back in GC but Jack’s main concern is what Diane will do to Kyle, Summer and Harrison’s life.
Moments after Amanda talks Phyllis into joining her at the spa, Taylor Jensen arrives in a big hat and dark glasses. I’ll be staying here a while, she smiles at the lady working the reception desk (Crystal must have the day off)
