Adam blames Vikki for this mess; Dad will always defend her, but he’s disappointed that she let him down, he tells Sally.
Nikki and Victor discuss Ashland some more. He suspected Ashland was faking his illness, but Vikki was so happy. Nikki doesn’t feel she’s to blame for being duped. We WILL talk about it.
Vikki thinks Adam’s the one framing Ashland; he once pretended to be blind. Do you think it might be him? she probes.
Jack feels terrible about Diane using Ally. No, he won’t let Diane back into Kyle’s life. She should stay dead. Phyllis doesn’t seem to agree.
Victor had no problem with the way Vikki’s been running Newman. Nikki thinks putting Adam in charge will make Vikki her Father’s sending her a message. Victor should make it clear to her that the family will stand by her no matter what.
Vikki’s sure Adam’s responsible. Is he that devious? Ashland’s not sold. He hacked into ChanceCom’s system to publish that story on you, she reminds. Victor will never believe that, he doubts. We need proof, Vikki replies.
Phyllis understands Jack’s desire to protect Kyle. He’s suffered enough, Jack’s adamant. Diane’s a wrecking ball, Phyllis is sure she’s not going away. It’s wishful thinking that she will.
Still in the office, Vikki manages to convince Ashland that Adam’s the culprit. He decides to cancel their trip to Tuscany; we need to stay here and do a ‘deep dive’.
Adam’s determined to prove he can run the company better than Vikki. Piece of cake, he tells Sally.
You kept information from your other son, Phyllis references Keemo. Diane Jenkins will blindside Kyle just like she did you. Jack doesn’t like that idea one bit.
In her new house, Diane makes a call to ask for Kyle’s direct line; it’s his Aunt, Ashley Abbot. Thank you, she jots down the number.
Adam isn’t impressed with Vikki’s spending spree; buying ChanceCom and Newman Media. He needs a big idea. Like what Sally did to get Vikki to wear the wedding dress she designed. Exactly.
Vikki agrees that they shouldn’t go to Tuscany – we need to stay and prove that Adam’s the one framing Ashland. He’ll find a way; this nightmare will be over. Yes, the beginning of the end. Vikki adds.
Diane’s happy when Jack knocks on her door, but isn’t happy to see Phyllis. At all.
My Thoughts (just one) Nikki’s horrified that Ashland had Mike locked up in a foreign country – who does that!? Well, for one – Victor (he had Billy imprisoned in a squalid cell in Myanmar)
