Hello? Anyone here?? Jack and Phyllis again find Keemo’s house empty. She’s optimistic they’ll find answers today. He’s not. Devastated at all the time he lost with his son, the only thing that’s getting Jack through this is Phyllis. Detecting a fragrance in the air, Phyllis believes someone’s been here since they left.
Abby and Chance drop by Devon’s unexpectedly. No, he didn’t read their text. All gush over Dominic (who seems to have fully recovered) So, what brings you by? We’re hoping to take Dom home now, Chance wipes the smile off Devon’s face.
Interrupting Sharon as she’s doing inventory at the coffee house, Rey confirms that her afternoon’s free and they’ll have the house to themselves. What’s going on? she’s intrigued.
Jack senses that there was someone outside last night – maybe someone came in after we left. Why was I lured here? he wonders. Phyllis wants to go through the box again with fresh eyes. This wasn’t here last time, Jack hands a photo to Phyllis. Ally with an LA area code. Maybe it’s a clue.
Rey doesn’t have to be back at the station til this evening so looks forward to spending the afternoon with his wife. Bowling? A dive bar to play pool? The lake? Bookstore? Sharon has a better idea (which she won’t share just yet)
Maybe this is the girl from the old photo? Calling the number on the back, he leaves a message for Ally.
Devon was going to bring Dom back later. Chance was hoping some ‘family time’ might help the therapy session he has later. Clearly disappointed, Devon wishes he had more of a heads up. That said, he understands the need to be flexible. Amanda watches in the background as Chance thanks Devon.
After Abby and Chance leave with Dom, Amanda encourages Devon to share if something’s bothering him. No, he’s good – but something’s obviously bothering Chance. He was tense, anxious, frigid – emotions Devon worries Dom will pick up on.
Chance is glad he gets to hang out with Dom before he goes to therapy. Abby thought his second session with Dr Huffman would be easier than the first. We’ll help you through this journey, she vows – and no, Dom’s not picking up on your tension.
Ally could be your mystery texter, using a different phone, Phyllis suggests. On cue, Jack gets a call from Ally, whom he invites over to Keemo’s. Thank you! Hanging up, he tells Phyllis that she’s busy now but will get there as soon as she can. Phyllis is optimistic that this girl will have answers for Jack.
With Amanda at his side, Devon strolls into CL’s to casually fish for info on Chance’s sessions with the therapist Sharon referred him to. Rey understands his concern but reassures that a lot of people have Chance’s back, and Dom’s.
Still at home, Chance is stretched out on the couch (possibly practicing for his visit to his shrink) Coming downstairs, Abby thinks Dom’s fussy because he’s teething. Chance isn’t the kind of guy to confide his feelings – when it all comes out, it’ll be messy. Abby’s supportive – talking will be cathartic. He loves her optimism ~kiss~
