Chelsea drops by Adam’s office to say that he made himself painfully clear. She won’t further humiliate – she’s there to discuss how to move forward professionally. There’s something she needs if that’s going to happen.
Sharon knows that Chance is staying home indefinitely. Abby feels that she has to keep everything together – Chance is fine, why is everyone treating him like he’s about to fall apart. He’s home safe and sound – I can’t complain. Acknowledging your feelings will be good for your family. Abby doesn’t really need a therapist. Sharon will back off (but has more to say) Chance and I are Dominic’s parents; if we can’t do this …. I need to get home to Dominic, she runs out.
No lawyers, no Abby – just Chance wanting to ask Devon something. If I was in a better headspace would you still be making these demands? Before we get the lawyers, I’d like to hear it from you. How can we handle this without turning it into a war?
Billy loves to see Lily glowing – Jill was brilliant to put you in charge. Lily’s so happy to have Billy by her side. It’s a damn good day, they agree.
You’re working long hours at the hospital and volunteering at the clinic; maybe AskMDNow is too much on your plate? Elena admits she sometimes feel overcommitted but wants to continue AskMDNow. She hopes Nate doesn’t feel neglected. He doesn’t.
No, Adam doesn’t regret hiring Chelsea. He wants her to continue working with Chloe. You’re an incredible talent. If there’s anything I can do to help … Chelsea thinks it best if Newman Fashion move to a different workspace – so she doesn’t run into Adam every 10 minutes.
Devon’s sorry to hear that Abby’s stressed but curious as to what Chance is thinking. He doesn’t think he’s being unreasonable and respects Chance’s service – but can you really say you’re solid emotionally and able to put your trauma aside to give Dominic what he needs? When Abby stops by, she’s surprised to find Chance already there – why??
After her video conference, Billy tells Lily that he’s never seen anything like it – how do you feel? Lily will show him ~kiss~
Adam doesn’t reel it necessary to move the fashion division out of the building – we can handle this like adults. Chelsea believes her request is reasonable and something Adam can manage. Slamming out, she pauses to inhale.
Chance just wanted to see if he and Devon can work something out – Father to Father. Abby doesn’t appreciate being left out. Asked to repeat his question, Devon asks Chance if he’s able to give Dominic the love and attention he needs right now. No, Chance replies – I’m not sure I can. Abby looks crestfallen.
My Thoughts: Are we supposed to take sides in this custody battle over Dominic? Both Devon and Abby are billionaires; Dominic will be closer to his nanny, Louise, than either of her parents anyway – until he’s shipped off to boarding school. And other than any babies’ Christening, when has a Godparent ever played an important role? Can anyone remember the Godfather/Godmother of any character? Maybe Devon should stop whining and patting himself on the back as being the most loving Father-Godfather ever – and remember that he’s Moses’ brother? Anyway, it’d be easier to side with Devon if he ever stated how much time he expected to spend with Dominic. I wonder if Mariah suggested Devon bully Amanda into having a baby … Elena can’t possibly be doing a good job as an ER doctor; it would be an interesting storyline if she had a patient die due to her doing a half (or one third) assed job… What leverage does Chelsea think she has? She’s a convicted felon. There’s no line up of ‘fashion houses’ lining up for her services. If there were, Sally would be first in line. Chloe’s resume would be tossed immediately too. The job market for crazies is more like a fruit stand.
