Sharon and Rey’s date-night ends at CL’s shortly before Noah arrives to talk to Nick (‘in private’, he tells his nosey Mom)
At TGP, Phyllis is on the phone with Summer; who has a meeting to get to so has no time to answer questions about what Jack’s up to in Milan.
Finding Ashland at Vikki’s desk, Nikki’s surprised to hear that he’s interviewing a senior level candidate – an exec he knows from NY will be a good fit for VP of Strategy. That position isn’t available; Nikki declares that Regina’s doing a great job. Disagreeing, Ashland’s going to give her a golden parachute. Does Vikki know about this? Nikki balks. No, she looks after the big picture; Ashland’s happy to take care of all the pesky details.
At the penthouse, Devon flops onto the couch – this whole thing’s a mess. Amanda stresses the need for him to make peace with his decision.
After Chance puts Dom down for a nap, Abby tells him that she went ahead and left Chris a message – we need to know what our options are. It feels like everything is falling apart.
Abby rants and raves about Devon taking them to court. He did come to us first, Chance reminds and it’s not fair to blame Amanda. There’s no easy answer here. Yes, there is – the only answer is no.
On the CL’s patio, Noah agrees to come work with his Dad – but must have time to do his art. Inside, Sharon can tell by the look on Noah’s face that he accepted Nick’s job offer. Everything is as it should be.

Nikki can tell that Ashland’s as enamored with Vikki as he was on their wedding day but have you moved on from the honeymoon phase of your business relationship? Ashland’s not trying to make his own mark by bringing in one of his own people. Well, are you? Nikki asks. Did I miss a meeting? Vikki arrives to ask.
Vikki’s surprised to hear Ashland’s considering replacing Regina – maybe he can fit into our organization elsewhere? After he leaves, Nikki’s arms remain folded.
Tessa barges onto the patio asking to speak to Noah – I have a surprise for you.
Devon continues to mope about Abby – she wanted me to have a major role in Dom’s life. She’ll recover once the shock wears off – Amanda can see that she feels betrayed.
Dom’s happy with us, his parents. Devon says he sees himself at his Father. He already has a Father and a Mother, and a home – there’s no reason to rip ur son away from us. We can fight it but a Judge will be the one to make our decision. Devon knows we’re bonding with our son. He knows I haven’t bonded with my own son, Chance says glumly.
Running into Phyllis at Society, he asks how she is. You know, she sighs – do you have time to talk?
Nick and Phyllis make small talk. Christian keeps asking when she’s coming over to play video games with him. Nick will have to up his gaming skills. Yes, we’re good. He sees that his take out’s ready – enjoy your night, he leaves Phyllis with tears in her eyes.
When Phyllis calls Amanda do see if she can have a drink with her, Devon encourages her to go; I’m fine. OK, I won’t be late, Amanda will get the door on her way out. No, this isn’t a bad time, it’s a good time. After Amanda leaves, Devon updates that he’s been forced to go to court. You can’t take them to court, Mariah’s horrified. Devon thought that of all people, she’d understand.
Pushed to confide what else Devon said, Abby continues – he knows you’ll make a full recovery. Chance has to face the fact that Devon might be right.
Vikki knows that her Mom’s just being cautious – Ashland doesn’t leave me out of the loop. This is new territory for Vikki but she doesn’t share her role as CEO – but she trusts and relies on Ashland. After Nikki leaves, she doesn’t look as confident.
