Running into each other at CL’s, Lily and Chloe have a nice chat and congratulate one another on their recent success. Lily’s smile fades, however, when Chloe mentions that Billy must be furious and swearing vengeance against his enemies.
At Society, Elena’s so glad they’ve all found the time to get together. Vikki arrives to apologize for being late. Nate and Elena are delighted to see the newlyweds so happy. Ashland kisses the love of his life.
Chelsea’s determined to be the best Mother she can be and doesn’t need Nikki’s expertise on Adam (with whom she has a great deal to discuss) On cue, Adam and Victor arrive. Awkward.
Adam explains that he and Victor are at the ranch because the guard at the front gate alerted Victor that Chelsea was on the premises. Nikki suggests giving them some privacy. Once alone, Chelsea again expresses how excited she is to see Connor. Adam’s sorry he didn’t make time to speak to her. He downplays the ‘war’ with Billy (Chloe’s overexaggerating) He’d rather talk about what’s going on with Chelsea.
Chloe’s genuinely concerned about Billy. It has nothing to do with you, Lily walks away. Chloe follows – it does. She hates Adam but has found a way to move forward whereas Billy hasn’t. But, maybe things are different this time – because of you.
The double date continuing to go well, Nate and Elena hear that Ashland’s planning a surprise for Vikki. The doctors will be working over the holidays but hope to spend some time together. Now alone with Ashland, Vikki reports that her conversation with Billy was ‘profoundly disconcerting’.
Elena comes down to the CL’s patio (from fetching her hospital ID) If we lived together I could have reminded you to take it, Nate says casually. Are you asking me to move in with you??? Elena’s surprised.
Of course Adam read Chelsea’s updates on what she’s been up to – you look happy and confident. She is – and happy to be back. Adam’s happy she’s back too.
Vikki’s troubled that Billy didn’t object to her blindsiding him with her news. He seemed ready for a fight from the moment I got there. Ashland’s sorry she has to contend with that. Something’s going on with him, Vikki’s sure.
Johnny and Katie will be enrolled after the holiday, Billy’s at home and on the phone with the boarding school. One more thing; we’ve protected the children from our media exposure (he’s happy to hear that the school will do the same)
Chatting amicably about Billy, Chloe warns Lily not to have blind faith – he has this self confidence that spills over to people around him. They think he has it all under control – then it falls apart. Chloe really wishes them the best – good to see you. Lily’s left to look worried.
