Abby sobs into her phone; Mom – I don’t know what to do… Chance… I’m in Spain. I’m here too, with Jack, Ashley will come to her. No – Abby must do this alone but maybe you can help – but not Uncle Jack. OK, Ashley agrees – send me your location and stay put. When Jack comes back from showing Abby’s photo around, Ashley blurts out that she found her – or rather, she found me. Tell the pilot we’re going to Majorca!
If I step down and Ashland drops his lawsuit, we can salvage ChanceCom’s reputation, Billy believes. You mean I can, Lily corrects. Yes, you can, Billy has all the faith in her. Jill agrees that Billy should step down – she’s not convinced the Newmans will back off but at least ChanceCom will be well run (by Lily) Informed that the Locke’s have offered to buy ChanceCom, Jill would hate to hand it over to them. What are the terms of surrender? Told they’d keep Lily on as CEO, Jill asks to speak to her – alone. Billy and I are still life partners, Lily would like him to stay. It’s OK, Billy’s been kicked out of worse places.
Victor puts Ashley on speakerphone – we’ve found Abby – we’re about to touch down in Majorca, she updates. Abby wants to see me alone. Jack will keep Victor and Nikki updated. The Newmans’ relief is interrupted when Adam stomps in – whatever Victor’s good news is will have to wait – you won’t believe what Vikki and Ashland have done.
After Elliot’s update, Adam confronted Vikki and Ashland. The rumours are true. Nikki, you must have known about this. She wouldn’t say if she did – I work for Newman Locke, not Newman Media. Adam then wonders why Victor’s not angry – this is how they repay us? Victor thinks Vikki was ‘thinking forward’ – unless she’s just protecting BillyBoy. Adam had the same thought – but she denied it. Then she’s trying to correct the mistake of selling the media division, Victor concludes.
What are you doing here? Phyllis asks. This is a lounge – I’m lounging, Billy deadpans. Drinking alone? Phyllis continues. Don’t get excited – Lily didn’t kick me out for good – she’s having a conversation with Jill. That does sound interesting, Phyllis takes a seat – mind if I join you?
‘I need you to do something for me’ Abby sends a text to Devon. Ashley comes in to give her a weepy hug – you had us all so worried. Abby’s intuition was right – Chance is alive; he’s here, sleeping. Ashley can’t wait to tell everyone. He doesn’t want to come home, Abby adds – he insists on completing the mission. On cue, Chance comes out to bark – Abby, what have you done?!?!
What the hell is Ashley doing here!? Jack too?! This is exactly what Chance wanted to avoid – my cover will be blown! Ashley vows she’d never do anything to risk Chance’s safety or the mission. He’s sorry he lashed out but insists on staying. Then, so does Abby.
Feeling charitable, Phyllis tells Billy that he looks like hell. She relays his role in her dream. You gave me advice. Billy scoffs – the best thing anyone can do is ignore my advice. You’re feeling sorry for yourself – it’s gonna be OK, Phyllis repeats what a wise person in her dream said to her. Even us screw-ups deserve love.
Neil taught you well, Jill doesn’t hold Lily responsible for this ‘catastrophe’. Not expecting to outlive Chance, JIll’s done some thinking – and decided to step down from the day-to-day operations of Chancellor Industries. Wow – those are some big shoes to fill. Yes, and Jill knows who she wants to fill them; she wants Lily to take over as CEO of CI.
Leaving Society as Billy arrives, Vikki seems sorry to hear that Lily and Jill are discussing their offer without him. You brought this on yourself, Ashland’s unsympathetic. Tugging Vikki out by her hand, neither he nor Billy notice her looking back at him longingly.
Phyllis gets a call from Jack – is there news? Yes, we found Abby – she’s with Ashley right now. Touched that he called her before Nina or Jill, she’d love to get together when Jack gets back. Thanks Red, he hopes they’re all coming home tonight.
Before you make any decisions there’s someone you need to see, Abby shows Chance a live stream of Dominic. He’s everything we dreamed of; healthy and strong. He needs his Dad. You’re the most important person in his life. HE’s the reason you made it out alive – you need to come home.
