Mariah understands why Abby would want to go search for Chance and decides to move back in for Dominic’s sake. Abby’s rolling her eyes as Nina goes to answer the door. Vikki hugs her, then Abby. The sisters have some time alone. There IS something Vikki can do for Abby – let me use the company jet. I’m packed and need to go right now!
Billy thinks Adam should consult Victor and Ashland before rejecting his offer. Why? Adam sneers – so they can laugh in your face too? Adam believes they destroyed the original letter. Nope, Billy has it – and if you think Jesse was pissed before, you should see him now. He’s on a beach somewhere counting his money, Adam’s sure. Then how would I know that he was locked in a wine cellar in Tuscany? Unless you want this story all over the Internet, call me by 6pm, Billy orders. Adam’s now left to look slightly less cocky.
This is a nice surprise – but Sharon’s sorry when Nick informs that he and Phyllis have broken up. He feels bad for her – it seems like she’s really hurting. And Nick? He’s not wallowing in heartache. Good – you shouldn’t, Sharon approves.
Yes, Phyllis could use a friend – but does NOT want to talk about Nick; which lasts about 2 seconds. I fell into this trap AGAIN, she wails to Jack.
Devon’s very worried about Abby’s state of mind – we have to talk her out of this. Worried that Dominic might be absorbing all this stress, Mariah will go check on him. No, I just put him to sleep, Nina stops her. And after Mariah leaves to ‘take care of a few things’ in case she’s needed, Nina and Devon agree her moving back in is a bad idea. On cue, Dominic wails – and Nina goes to tend to him.
Vikki gently suggests Abby leave it to the experts – this is a volatile situation – the people in Spain might not even agree to talk to you. Are you gonna let me use the jet or not? No. Fine, Abby will call her Father. He doesn’t think it a good idea either, Vikki insists she IS on Abby’s side. Abby thought she’d be the one who’d understand (since her husband’s dying)
Abby just wants to fight for Chance the same way Vikki’s fighting for her husband. Maybe there’s nothing to fight for – going there will only compound the pain, Vikki adds that ‘this day’ is coming for her too’; and she’ll want her family to support her. You need to be home – on our arms ~hug~
In their suite, Mariah updates Tessa that she’s worried about Dominic. He’ll be taken care of, Tessa knows. Hearing that Mariah wants to move back in, Tessa doesn’t think it a good idea.
In the park, Devon and Nina step away from the stroller to talk about Abby spiraling out of control. Nina understands – she’d like to go too. It’s all so sad – losing a child is so unfair. Nina’s sorry (suddenly remembering that Devon has ‘lost so much’) Devon does understand Abby’s pain – but he wasn’t left a single parent. Oh God, Nina weeps in Devon’s arms.
At ChanceCom, Billy reports to Lily that he gave Adam a 6pm deadline.
Still at the office, Adam calls his Dad to update that Billy was there and acted as they expected. Nikki stopped by – she worries our plan might be too taxing on Ashland. Victor will deal with that – talk to you later ~click~ He immediately brings up the subject with Nikki – We’ll finish the project without Ashland – but no one will stop us.
Phyllis blames Nick’s ‘viper nest’ of a family – he will always run back to his Mom and Dad. The Newmans eat their own. I broke my rule about talking about Nick, she admits. Not so much broke it as smashed it to smithereens, Jack chuckles – then continues his pep talk.
