At Society, Nate and Elena have both ‘cleaned up nicely’. No, he’s not going to keep her waiting long for his good news – except to order ‘a bottle of your finest champagne’. You’re killing me, Elena grins.
Abby wants to hear all about Devon’s life. He’s enjoying spending time with Moses – and Amanda.
By the time Jack comes home, Harrison’s home and napping. Kyle tells his Dad that Phyllis believes Tara’s responsible for Summer leaving. Jack’s aware – he told her to back off – but she won’t drop it with Tara, or Sally. Sally? Yup – Phyllis thinks they’re working together.
At TGP, Tara tells Sally that she’s there to talk about her shoe line/JVC. I think it’d be better if we go upstairs, to your suite. Phyllis watches on her laptop as Tara stops the elevator to blast Sally – were you out of your mind sending me that text?!
Kyle doesn’t think Tara’s scheming behind our backs (Jack agrees) but he does suspect Sally. She recommended Sally for the job – she’s trying to change, Jack defends her. Trying isn’t succeeding, and Kyle doesn’t want his Dad to get hurt again.
Someone’s irritated. Someone’s confused, Phyllis watches Tara confront Sally in the elevator (on her laptop at the bar)
Tara shows her phone to Sally (a text that all but confirms they’re colluding) I didn’t send that, Sally protests. Phyllis – that conniving bitch! Sally hits the elevator button and orders Tara to go wait in her suite. I’m going to handle Phyllis.
Tessa asked Mariah to send her a clue – and got no response. It’s a gut feeling, she tells Nina. In tears, she’s turning on this app to track Mariah’s phone.
There’s no windows – we just have to wait – we’re not getting out of this room, Mariah talks to her bump. I’ve tried screaming, praying, begging. Whoever’s keeping us here is giving us the silent treatment. I’ll get you back to your Mom safe and sound, she vows. A door rattles (a small door in the wall that us old folks recognize as a dumbwaiter)
When Devon gushes about Amanda, Abby agrees – she’s brilliant. And she supports Devon’s .. um …contribution. Not everyone would understand. Like Ben? Devon asks. No – we’ve both moved on. He’s like an old friend, Abby surprises Devon with the news that Ben’s moving back to GC.
Surely there’s not another problem with your bill, Phyllis is ready for Sally. You have serious issues and no ethical boundaries, Sally barks. How about that spa day? Phyllis grins. Your attempt to be nice comes across as cloying and fake, Sally knows Phyllis stole her phone to send that twisted text. Why would I do that? Phyllis is bewildered. My phone works fine. What was on that text that worries you? You think you’re smarter and more devious but you underestimate me, Sally warns.
Jack’s having dinner with Sally tonight. As Kyle mentions that they don’t have any proof, both he and Jack receive the video of Tara and Sally on the elevator – taken within the hour. Hmmm – they’re showing each other their phones.
Phyllis doesn’t underestimate Sally – but why are you upset? Let’s say I did send that text – why would you be so scared? Sally’s not scared – I could press charges for theft – identity theft. Soemthing on that text has you freaked out, Phyllis taunts – someone’s pushed your buttons. Come clean – tell me what you and Tara did to my daughter.
Pacing in Sally’s suite, Tara gets a message from Kyle – Please come home. We need to talk.
Kyle hates having to question the Mother of his child. Jack hopes they are jumping to conclusions. But we need answers.
Ben’s been a happy distraction -he’s been supportive. Devon’s just being protective of Abby. Ben and I had painful times – she’s happy for him. It’s kinda cool that he’s moving back to GC – to be Memorial’s chief of surgery.
Don’t you dare take a sip before telling me your news! Elena finally hears Nate’s good news – You are now sitting across from the new chief of surgery at Memorial. They clink champagne flutes.
Nina has no problem with Tessa’s decision – anyone can see how in love you two are. Tessa would give anything to hear from Mariah. Uh oh – it says her phone is completely blocked. What does that mean??
Right on time – the food isn’t bad, Mariah pulls a tray out of the dumbwaiter. Prenatal vitamins – everything we need – except an answer. Don’t panic Mariah, she calms herself down. We’re in this together – we’ll get through this together, she tells her bump. What are you!? What do you want from us!? she bangs on the tiny door.
